Greenland Resources Updates on Greenland Denmark US Agreement
Greenland secures binding offtake and defense alignment for its EU-backed molybdenum project.

Greenland Resources Inc. (MOLY) announced the signing of binding long-term offtake agreements with major global steel producers Outokumpu and SSAB, securing future sales for its Malmbjerg molybdenum project. The release highlights a recent defense agreement among Greenland, Denmark, and the United States, framing the project within a broader geopolitical security context.
The company references its NI 43-101 Definitive Feasibility Study, noting a conservative molybdenum price assumption of US$18/lb against a current market price of approximately US$33/lb. The Malmbjerg project is designated as a priority EU project under the RESourceEU initiative, covering ~25% of EU yearly consumption and 100% of EU defense needs.
Corporate updates include a scheduled presentation at the Think Equity Conference on October 15, 2026, and an evaluation of a potential uplisting to a major U.S. exchange.
The transition from memorandums of understanding and letters of intent to binding long-term offtake agreements with Outokumpu and SSAB materially de-risks the commercial profile of the Malmbjerg project. Securing price floors and ceilings with major European steel producers provides predictable revenue streams, which is critical for securing the remaining project debt financing. The inclusion of the Greenland-Denmark-U.S. defense agreement adds a strategic layer of political risk mitigation, potentially accelerating permitting and lending approvals from Western export credit agencies.
Greenland Resources Inc. (MOLY) holds the Malmbjerg Molybdenum Project, a world-class Climax-type primary molybdenum deposit located in east-central Greenland near tidewater. The site contains magnesium and rare earth by-products and hosts reserves of 245 million tonnes grading 0.176% MoS2, containing 571 million pounds of contained molybdenum.
The project is projected to supply approximately 25% of the EU’s total yearly molybdenum consumption and 100% of the EU’s defense needs. Production is expected to average 32.8 million pounds of contained molybdenum metal annually for years 1-10, based on an average grade of 0.23% MoS2.
A 2022 NI 43-101 Definitive Feasibility Study by Tetra Tech outlines US$820 million in capital expenditures, a 33.8% levered after-tax internal rate of return, and a 2.4-year payback period, based on a US$18 per pound molybdenum price. Greenland Resources Inc. holds a 30-year exploitation license for molybdenum and magnesium, awarded in June 2025.
