Homerun Resources Inc. Receives US$19.6-27.6 Million AACE Class 5 CAPEX Estimate for Modular 4N Silica Purification Plant
Homerun defines modular 4N silica plant CAPEX while facing a $29M–$37M funding gap that widens near-term liquidity risk.

Homerun Resources Inc. (HMR) has received a final AACE Class 5 CAPEX estimate from Dorfner ANZAPLAN for its modular 4N high-purity silica purification plant located in Santa Maria Eterna, Bahia, Brazil. The study outlines two technically viable configurations: Option 1, which involves dedicated calcination, is estimated at US$27.6 million, while Option 2, featuring ENDURING Thermal Energy Storage Integration, is estimated at US$19.6 million, excluding the cost of the owner-supplied TES system.
When combined with the previously announced 3N plant CAPEX of US$9.38 million, the total estimated capital requirement for both facilities ranges from US$29.0 million to US$37.0 million. The AACE Class 5 estimate carries an expected accuracy range of minus 30% to plus 50%, indicating that the figures remain a conceptual engineering basis requiring detailed engineering and vendor engagement for refinement.
The company is currently progressing permitting for installation, preparing early earthworks subject to approvals, and continuing customer sample qualification and configuration selection. The 4N silica targets value-added applications including fused silica, specialty glass, electronics fillers, and upgraded metallurgical-grade silicon. No economic assessment for the 4N product stream has been published.
Homerun Resources Inc. (HMR) released a routine execution milestone that follows directly from the June 2026 announcement of the 3N plant CAPEX and the ongoing 4N pathway development. The release does not introduce unexpected information or alter the company's strategic roadmap.
The announcement includes a wide accuracy range of minus 30% to plus 50%, which is standard for an AACE Class 5 estimate but underscores significant execution and cost overrun risk before detailed engineering is complete. While the news confirms a clear capital pathway, it simultaneously highlights a massive funding gap. Homerun Resources holds only US$482,150 in cash as of Q2 2026, faces an explicit going concern flag, and has a working capital deficiency. The silica purification plants alone require US$29.0–37.0 million, while the flagship solar glass facility requires approximately US$396.5 million.
No new financing or offtake commitments are attached to this release. The market impact is therefore limited to confirming technical progress while reinforcing the near-term liquidity risk.
Homerun Resources Inc. (HMR) operates a vertically integrated clean energy platform focused on four key areas: high-purity silica mining and purification, solar glass manufacturing, silica-based thermal energy storage, and AI-enabled energy management. The company’s flagship initiative is the Santa Maria Eterna (SME) Silica Valley industrial hub located in Belmonte, Bahia, Brazil. This project encompasses more than 200 million tonnes of high-purity silica sand resources, a three-phase purification platform capable of producing 3N, 4N, and 5N grades, a planned 1,000-tonne-per-day antimony-free solar glass manufacturing facility, and integrated thermal energy storage systems.
Homerun Resources has secured the necessary mining permits and surface rights, established strategic partnerships, and completed a bankable feasibility study for the solar glass plant. These developments position the company as a potential first-mover in dedicated solar glass manufacturing within Latin America.
