Trinity Silver Reports Silver Grades of up to 82 g/t from Historical Nueva Chanarcillo Tailings
Trinity One’s 55 g/t tailings data validates a small target rather than the broader vein system investors were anticipating.

Trinity One Metals Ltd. (TSXV: TOM, FSE: 5D5) has reported preliminary silver assays from an initial auger sampling programme targeting historic mine tailings at its Nueva Chañarcillo silver project in the Atacama Region of Chile. The company collected 39 primary tailings samples using augers to a depth of approximately 1.5 meters, with each sample representing a single composite over the entire drilled interval.
The assays revealed silver grades ranging from 37 to 82 g/t, yielding an average of 55 g/t across the 39 primary samples. The company explicitly stated that this 55 g/t average reflects only the sampled material and does not represent an estimate of the average grade of the entire tailings deposit.
Based on a conceptual exploration target, Trinity One Metals estimates the tailings footprint covers 42,270 square meters (4.23 hectares), mapped in ArcGIS. Assuming an average thickness of 2 to 4 meters and a dry bulk density of 1.6 tonnes per cubic meter, the target is estimated to contain between 135,000 and 270,000 tonnes grading 35 to 85 g/t Ag. This equates to approximately 152,000 to 738,000 ounces of contained silver before any metallurgical recovery.
An excavator is currently on site, and a test pit for a bulk metallurgical sample is scheduled for the week commencing 19 October 2026. Future work will include systematic drilling and sampling through the full thickness of the tailings, surveying, density measurements, and metallurgical testwork. The company noted that no mineral resource or reserve has been defined, and metal recovery, economic viability, thickness, density, and grade continuity remain unverified.
Trinity One Metals Ltd. (TOM) did not release earnings results. Prior-period context from Q1-2026 (three months ended March 31, 2026) showed a net loss of C$1,234,710, cash holdings of C$4,980,555, total equity of C$6,277,796, and 67,234,884 shares outstanding, as reported on SEDAR. These figures were not disclosed in today’s release.
The announcement changes no resource, no reserve, no mine life, and no net asset value (NAV). It represents a first-pass data point on a small tailings side-asset rather than the vein exploration the market is positioned for. The market has previously been shown historic high-grade vein intercepts, including C02-R11: 2.0 m @ 2,390 g/t Ag, and a 700 m diamond programme around that hole, with assays guided for November 2026. Today’s tailings numbers are not the catalyst the market awaits.
The stock re-rated from approximately C$0.10 in early January 2026 to C$0.45 on February 13, 2026, following the Silver-1 acquisition and financing, before round-tripping to C$0.12–0.16. At C$0.14, the stock sits well below its 52-week high and near its lows. Because the price has round-tripped, the February anchor is not embedded. However, today’s tailings result is also not materially better in grade-and-width substance than anything previously demonstrated on the property.
As a micro-cap explorer with a market capitalization of approximately C$9.4 million, the scale of the asset—sub-1 moz contained silver and conceptual—is too small to re-rate the equity on its own. The result is genuine and incremental, but not material.
Trinity One Metals Ltd. (TOM), a TSXV/FSE-listed junior explorer, operates as a portfolio consolidator of early-stage and historic precious and base-metal assets. The company holds an option to acquire 100% of the Nueva Chañarcillo (Juan Godoy property) in the Atacama Region of Chile for US$10 million in cash over 48 months, plus a 2.0% NSR. The district has reported historical silver production of approximately 100 moz, and historic hole C02-R11 returned 2.0 m @ 2,390 g/t Ag. A 700 m diamond programme is currently underway at the site.
In the Maricunga belt of Chile, Trinity One Metals holds an option to acquire 100% of the El Nevado gold-silver project for US$7 million over five years, a US$3 million production bonus, and a 3.1% NSR. The property covers 1,800 ha and features unverified historical drilling, with the best reported results being 48 m @ 2.84 g/t Au and 19.2 g/t Ag.
The company also acquired the Silver-1 project in Azuay Province, Ecuador, for US$540,000 in cash plus 5 million shares. This past-producing high-grade Ag-Pb-Zn vein system spans approximately 3,108 ha. An unverified historic exploration target is estimated at 0.20–0.70 Mt @ 15–25 oz/t Ag, though the project is subject to active legal and permitting challenges.
Additional projects referenced in the MD&A, providing prior-period context but not included in today’s release, include the Victory copper project in Mongolia, and the Gawler and Western Wood projects in Australia. Trinity One Metals reports no revenue and no reserves on any property, with profits dependent on continued equity financing.
