Trinity Silver Announces El Nevado Gold & Silver Project Option Agreement in Chile's Maricunga Gold Belt
Trinity One expands its Chilean footprint with the El Nevado option in the Maricunga belt.

Trinity Silver Corp., through its subsidiary Metales de Chile SpA, has announced a definitive option agreement to acquire a 100% interest in the El Nevado Gold & Silver project. The project is situated in Chile’s Atacama Region, within the prolific Maricunga gold belt, approximately 30 km southeast of the Maricunga gold mine.
The total consideration for the transaction is US$7 million in cash, payable over five years, plus a US$3 million production bonus and a 3.1% Net Smelter Returns (NSR) royalty upon full exercise. The release highlights historical drilling intersections from previous operators, including high-grade gold and silver intervals, which will serve as the basis for Trinity’s upcoming technical assessment and exploration program. The transaction is subject to TSX Venture Exchange approval and customary closing documentation.
Trinity One Metals Ltd. (TOM) has acquired an option in a well-known gold belt, a move that diversifies its asset base beyond Ecuador and Mongolia. The transaction features a staged US$7 million payment schedule over five years, which aligns with the company's exploration-stage cash flow profile and minimizes immediate liquidity strain. Historical data from the target provides a verified starting point for exploration, reducing early-stage geological risk compared to greenfield targets. This development is incremental and expected for a junior explorer actively building a multi-jurisdictional portfolio, without altering the company's near-term financial position or triggering immediate dilution.
Trinity One Metals Ltd. (TOM), operating as Trinity Silver in Chile, is a junior exploration company focused on precious and base metals. The firm is currently in the exploration and evaluation phase, with no revenue, defined resources, or production.
The company’s flagship asset is the Silver-1 Mine in Ecuador, a past-producing high-grade silver-lead-zinc vein system acquired in February 2026. Trinity One is currently verifying historical data and advancing toward a modern NI 43-101 resource estimate for the project.
Other assets include the Victory Copper Project in Mongolia, the Gawler and Western Wood projects in Australia, and recently announced options for El Nevado and Juan Godoy in Chile.
