Solstice Gold Closes Acquisition of the Leckie Gold Zone and 43 New Claims, Consolidating New 57 km2 Gold Play in the Abitibi Subprovince, Ontario
Solstice closed its Leckie acquisition, consolidating 57 square kilometres of the Strathy Play.

Solstice Gold Corp. has officially closed the acquisition of the Leckie Gold Zone (LGZ) and 47 adjacent unpatented claims, bringing its total Strathy Gold Project land package to 57 km² in Ontario's Abitibi Subprovince. The transaction consideration consisted of $600,000 in cash, 2,000,000 common shares subject to a 12-month contractual hold, and the transfer of 11 unpatented claims to the sellers.
The LGZ features a 160m-deep shaft, underground development across five levels, and over 23,000m of historical drilling. Historical intercepts include high-grade intervals such as 9.10 g/t Au over 5.24m and 7.24 g/t Au over 10.45m. A 62% historical hit rate exists for intercepts ≥3.0 g/t Au over 1.5m, with 90% of qualifying intercepts occurring above 250m vertical depth. The zone remains open along strike and at depth.
Solstice has verified historical data through resampling of 7 representative samples, which aligned with published assays. However, no Qualified Person has yet verified the data to NI 43-101 standards for resource estimation. Phase 1 expansion drilling at the LGZ is targeted for Q4 2026, following immediate surface mapping and relogging.
Solstice Gold Corp. (SGC) has closed a definitive agreement announced on August 22, 2026, following a $650,000 private placement that closed on September 4, 2026. The market was already aware of the transaction, its terms, and the concurrent financing.
The closure removes execution risk and legally consolidates the LGZ into the Strathy project, providing management with full control to advance exploration. The financial impact is contained: $600,000 cash was funded by the September private placement, and 2,000,000 shares represent ~0.76% dilution, which is immaterial relative to the 262.5M share count.
The news is incremental and expected. It does not introduce new geological data, resource estimates, or strategic partnerships that would alter the investment thesis. It simply confirms the completion of a previously disclosed corporate action.
Solstice Gold Corp. is a pre-revenue exploration company focused on gold projects in Tier-1 Canadian jurisdictions. Its flagship asset is the Strathy Gold Project, a 57 km² property located in the Temagami Greenstone Belt within the Abitibi Subprovince of Ontario. The company is currently in the pre-resource phase, relying on historical data validation and modern exploration techniques such as IP surveys, oriented core, and expansion drilling. No mineral resources or reserves have been defined.
Key assets include the newly acquired Leckie Gold Zone and the Red Cedar Discovery, which returned 8.5 g/t Au over 3.5m with visible gold, alongside multiple IP-defined anomalies. The Strathy project is situated approximately 600m from the Trans-Canada Highway, providing logistical advantages and low-cost drill access.
Solstice also holds other assets including Qaiqtuq in Nunavut, a fully permitted 662 km² property; the Atikokan project in Ontario; and the Red Lake Extension in Ontario. Additionally, the company maintains a royalty portfolio of 80+ assets.
