Golden Sky Minerals Identifies Strong Copper-in-Soil Trends Coincident with Intrusive Rocks at the Mowich Target
Golden Sky’s soil trends and intrusives at Mowich bolster the porphyry model ahead of 2026 drilling.

Golden Sky Minerals Corp. (AUEN) has released spring 2026 soil sampling and geological mapping results from the Mowich Target on its Rayfield-Gjoll Project in British Columbia. The company reported copper-in-soil anomalies ranging from background levels to greater than 300 ppm, with a peak concentration of 521 ppm Cu. These anomalies are spatially associated with diorite, monzodiorite, and monzonite intrusive rocks, a pattern that supports a porphyry copper-gold geological model.
High-grade float material, referred to as "Mowich nuggets," returned exceptional grades: * 37.46% Cu * 286 g/t Au * 200 g/t Ag
In addition to the sampling results, the company expanded its project land position by approximately 7,288 hectares along the southwestern limits to cover prospective structures linked to historical mineralization. QA/QC protocols for the project are standard, utilizing Bureau Veritas and ALS ISO 17025 certified labs.
Golden Sky Minerals Corp. (AUEN) released an incremental exploration update that follows a clear progression of technical milestones, including January 2026 drill permits, February 2026 magnetic survey results, a March 2026 NI 43-101 technical report filing, and June 2026 U-Pb geochronology confirming Early Jurassic magmatic timing. The Mowich soil trends and intrusive associations validate the porphyry model outlined in the March technical report but do not introduce new funding, partnership changes, or drill results.
The news is expected within the context of the announced 2026 exploration program. While the update de-risks the geological model slightly, it does not materially alter the capital requirements or near-term catalysts. Market reaction is likely muted as the information aligns with prior expectations and the stock has already declined ~43% from its November 2025 highs.
Golden Sky Minerals Corp. (AUEN) is a junior exploration company holding a portfolio of mineral properties across British Columbia, Yukon, and Ontario. Its flagship asset is the Rayfield-Gjoll Copper-Gold Project, a 90,000-hectare property situated in the Quesnel Trough, BC. The project encompasses five defined target zones—Rayfield, Gnome, Semlin, Mowich, and X Zone—which feature historical drilling, geochemical anomalies, and geophysical targets consistent with porphyry systems.
In Yukon, the company holds the 150-square-kilometer Lucky Strike property within the White Gold District, which is positioned to benefit from upcoming infrastructure including the Northern Access Route. Additionally, Golden Sky owns the Auden gold project in the Timmins camp, Ontario, which is currently in the early exploration stages. All of the company’s core assets are 100% owned with no underlying royalties.
