Nortec Minerals Commences Phase 2 Ground Program, Including Bedrock Trenching and Expanded Soil Sampling over Magnetic Anomalies at the Barker Bay Gold Project
Nortec advances its Barker Bay Gold Project with new phase 2 trenching and soil sampling results.

Nortec Minerals Corp. (NVT) announced the commencement of Phase 2 ground exploration at its 100%-owned Barker Bay Gold Project in Ontario. The program focuses on mechanical bedrock trenching at the historical Barker Bros. Mine and an expanded soil geochemical sampling grid.
Phase 2 builds directly on Phase 1 results, which identified high-grade grab samples up to 24.2 g/t Au and channel sampling returning 4.59 g/t Au over 0.5m. Objectives include exposing fresh bedrock near the historical shaft, expanding the known 850m x 200m Au-in-soil anomaly along the Barker North and Petrie trends, and defining geological controls to prepare for a maiden diamond drill program. The work utilizes data from a completed drone magnetic and LiDAR survey to establish a precise sampling grid.
Nortec Minerals Corp. (NVT) has advanced its exploration program with the initiation of Phase 2 trenching and soil expansion, a logical progression following the consolidation of mineral rights and the completion of Phase 1 surface sampling. The high-grade surface indicators identified during the initial phase provide a geological basis for the current work, which aligns with the explicit exploration roadmap and investor presentation previously outlined by the company. This update confirms the execution of the planned work program and maintains the trajectory toward a maiden drill program.
Nortec Minerals Corp. is a pre-revenue exploration-stage company focused on gold projects in Ontario, Canada, and Nevada, USA. Its flagship asset is the Barker Bay Gold Project, a 4,670-hectare property located in the Eagle-Wabigoon-Manitou greenstone belt, approximately 55 km south of Dryden, Ontario. The property hosts historical high-grade production, including 23.6 oz of gold from the first 8 tons milled at the Barker Bros. mine, averaging 101.1 g/t Au. Modern exploration has identified widespread shearing, alteration, and gold-in-soil anomalies extending over 850 meters along structural corridors.
The company also holds the Pearl Gold Project in Nevada. This asset is in the advanced exploration stage with high-grade drill intercepts and bulk-tonnage targets, though it is still awaiting maiden drilling.
