Golden Sky files NI 43-101 technical report on Rayfield

AUEN · Price
Executive Summary
- Golden Sky Minerals filed an NI 43-101 technical report for its district-scale Rayfield copper-gold project in south-central British Columbia, establishing a technical framework for a phased exploration program and a partner-funded drilling campaign in 2026.
- The report outlines five distinct copper-gold target zones (Rayfield, Gnome, Semlin, Mowich, and X zone) supported by historical drilling, modern geophysical surveys (ZTEM, aeromagnetic, IP), and geochemical data, with multiple targets remaining open at depth.
- The exploration program is backed by a $20-million earn-in agreement with Boliden Mineral Canada Ltd., under which Boliden may earn up to an 80% interest in the combined Rayfield-Gjoll property by financing staged exploration expenditures.
Key Details
- Partnership & Financing: $20-million earn-in agreement with Boliden Mineral Canada Ltd. (wholly owned subsidiary of Boliden). Boliden may earn up to 80% interest in the combined Rayfield-Gjoll property by financing up to $20M in staged exploration expenditures.
- Project Location & Size: Rayfield copper-gold project, south-central British Columbia, Quesnel terrane. District-scale land package exceeding 90,000 hectares (Rayfield-Gjoll).
- Technical Report: NI 43-101 filed, effective March 19, 2026. Prepared by Andy Randell, PGeo (non-independent). Qualified Person: Carl Schulze, PGeo (Aurora Geosciences Ltd.).
- Rayfield Zone: ~3,000m x 1,500m anomalous Cu-in-soil geochemical signature. Historic drilling intercepts: 0.19% Cu over 30m; 0.18% Cu over 43.4m. Recent airborne magnetic data identifies magnetic lows coincident with potassic/propylitic alteration and surface rock sampling up to 0.96% Cu. 2024 IP anomalies remain open at depth.
- Gnome Target: ~1,800m x 1,500m multielement soil anomaly with widespread phyllic/propylitic alteration and polymetallic quartz-carbonate veining. 2025 ZTEM survey delineated a prominent resistive body interpreted as a silicified porphyry core. Historic drilling (Hole 72455) intersected 0.10% Cu over the last 68m. Surface sampling returned elevated Cu, Au, and Ag.
- Semlin Target: 1,700m x 900m multielement geochemical soil anomaly. Monzonitic to dioritic dike in contact with Nicola Group volcanics hosting disseminated pyrite. Rock sampling returned 0.20% Cu and elevated molybdenum. Geophysics indicates proximity to a large resistive intrusive complex. Largely underexplored due to overburden.
- Mowich Target (Southern Property): High-grade rock float samples returned up to 37.45% Cu, 286 g/t Au, and 200 g/t Ag. Airborne magnetic data identified large magnetic features interpreted as intrusive complexes spatially associated with NW-trending structural corridors.
- Additional Targets: X zone exhibits coincident geophysical anomalies and favorable geological settings, supporting district-scale potential.
- Future Exploration Plans: Phased program including target refinement and an initial diamond drilling campaign scheduled for 2026, partner-funded.
- Portfolio Context: Company also advancing Hotspot and Lucky Strike gold projects in Yukon's White Gold district, and Auden gold project in Ontario's Timmins camp. All core assets are 100% owned with no underlying royalties.
Notable Quotes
- John Newell, President & CEO: "Filing this technical report is an important milestone for Golden Sky and reflects our commitment to advancing the Rayfield-Gjoll project in partnership with Boliden. It provides a transparent technical framework for the Rayfield-Gjoll project that investors and our partner can reference as we advance exploration in 2026. Rayfield is not a single-target story; with five well-defined copper-gold zones, modern geophysical targets that remain open at depth and a disciplined staged work plan, we are well positioned to systematically advance the highest-priority targets alongside Boliden in 2026. This report provides the technical road map for what we expect to be an active and productive exploration season, including partner-funded drilling under our agreement with Boliden."
