Aldebaran Reports 513 m of 1.06% CuEq (1.01% Cu, 0.08 g/t Au & 3.58 g/t Ag), Within 1,257.30 m of 0.66% CuEq (0.62% Cu, 0.05 g/t Au & 1.94 g/t Ag) at the Altar Copper-Gold Project in San Juan, Argentina
Aldebaran’s Altar infill returned 513 m at 1.06% CuEq, marking strong but expected resource conversion.

Aldebaran Resources Inc. (ALDE) has released assay results from six drill holes at its Altar copper-gold porphyry project in San Juan, Argentina. These holes are part of the 2025-2026 infill and geotechnical program, which is designed primarily to convert Inferred resources to Measured and Indicated categories ahead of the next Mineral Resource Estimate.
The most significant result came from hole ALD-26-267, which returned 1,257.30 m of 0.66% CuEq from a depth of 135.70 m. This interval includes 513 m of 1.06% CuEq from 514 m depth, and further includes 214 m of 1.57% CuEq from 520 m depth.
Other reported intervals include: - ALD-26-261: 1,323.20 m of 0.50% CuEq, including 802.20 m of 0.64% CuEq - ALD-26-262: 939.30 m of 0.58% CuEq, including 420.30 m of 0.76% CuEq - ALD-26-182EXT: 1,354 m of 0.41% CuEq, including 162 m of 0.61% CuEq - ALD-26-263: 1,336 m of 0.38% CuEq, including 124 m of 0.69% CuEq - ALD-26-264: no reportable intervals
The company also noted that assay-lab delays have pushed the updated Mineral Resource Estimate from Q3 2026 to October 2026, while the Pre-Feasibility Study (PFS) timeline remains scheduled for Q2/Q3 2027.
Aldebaran Resources Inc. (ALDE) is conducting an infill and resource-definition program within its existing porphyry deposit. For this stage of the company and deposit, the primary benchmark is the existing resource grade rather than individual high-grade intercepts. The 2024 Measured and Indicated (M&I) resource stands at approximately 2.4 billion tonnes at 0.42% copper, 0.07 g/t gold, and 1.22 g/t silver on a 100% basis.
New drill holes have intersected grades at or above this resource average over significant intervals: - ALD-26-267: 0.66% CuEq over 1,257.3 m, including 1.06% CuEq over 513 m. - ALD-26-261: 0.50% CuEq over 1,323.2 m. - ALD-26-262: 0.58% CuEq over 939.3 m.
These results support the planned conversion of Inferred resources to M&I in the October 2026 Mineral Resource Estimate (MRE) and may modestly enhance the high-grade component of the model. The program serves to confirm the known deposit rather than represent a step-out or new discovery.
The MRE has been delayed by one month to October due to assay-lab turnaround times, not geological or engineering factors. The Preliminary Feasibility Study (PFS) timeline remains unchanged. The stock had already recovered from July 2026 weakness leading into the August 2026 spinout, and the market is aware that resource-conversion drilling is ongoing. The October MRE is expected to be the larger catalyst.
Aldebaran Resources Inc. (ALDE) is a mineral exploration and development company that spun out of Regulus Resources in 2018. The company holds an 80% interest in the Altar copper-gold project in San Juan, Argentina, with Sibanye-Stillwater serving as the 20% joint-venture partner. Altar is a large porphyry copper-gold system located in a district that includes Los Pelambres, El Pachón, and Los Azules.
The project’s 2024 measured and indicated resource stands at approximately 2.397 billion tonnes at 0.42% Cu, 0.07 g/t Au, and 1.22 g/t Ag on a 100% basis. A 2025 preliminary economic assessment outlined a 48-year mine life with a 60,000 tpd throughput, projecting an after-tax NPV8 of about US$2.0 billion and an internal rate of return of 20.5%. The plan calls for a transition from open-pit to underground block cave mining.
As a pre-revenue explorer, Aldebaran reported cash of approximately C$49.4 million as of March 31, 2026, with no debt. The company recorded a net loss of about C$8.0 million for the nine months ended March 31, 2026. A going-concern risk flag was present in the management’s discussion and analysis, which is typical for a pre-revenue junior. Additionally, the Centauri Minerals spinout was completed in August 2026, transferring the Rio Grande and other non-Altar assets to a new TSX-V-listed entity.
