Oreterra Expands the Kinkaid, Nevada, Copper-Gold-Silver Project with 43 More Claims Encompassing Numerous New Showings
Oreterra adds 43 claims and new porphyry targets to its Kinkaid project ahead of a 2026 drilling campaign.

Oreterra Metals Corp. announced the staking of 43 new claims to expand its Kinkaid Copper-Gold-Silver project in Nevada. The expansion covers the newly identified "KJ Porphyry" target, which exhibits strong copper-bearing mineralization and distinctive alteration.
Assay results from 18 chip and grab samples show copper grades between 0.28% and 5.79%, with four samples returning gold between 0.9 and 7.6 g/t.
A 13 line-km Induced Polarization (IP) and magnetotelluric (MT) geophysical survey is planned for later in 2026 to test the KJ target and other porphyry/epithermal prospects. The company aims to have the Kinkaid project drill-ready by the end of 2026, pending BLM permitting.
Oreterra Metals Corp. (OTMC) announced expected, incremental exploration progress that does not constitute a market-moving event. The company is currently staking new claims and identifying surface showings, which are standard steps in the exploration lifecycle and do not yet define a mineral resource or reserve. The financial impact remains negligible at this stage, as the company is still in the pre-drilling phase for Kinkaid. The news aligns with the company's stated exploration roadmap and does not materially alter near-term capital requirements or the operational timeline.
Oreterra Metals Corp. is an exploration-stage mining company focused on copper-gold-silver prospects in North America. Its flagship project is Trek South in British Columbia’s Golden Triangle, a porphyry copper-gold system adjacent to Teck-Newmont’s Galore Creek deposits, where maiden drilling commenced in August 2026. The company also holds the Kinkaid property in Nevada, which features multiple porphyry and epithermal targets for copper-gold-silver. Other assets include the Scossa mine in Nevada, the Lundmark-Akow Lake project in Ontario, and retained NSR royalties.
