Oreterra Announces Drilling Start at Trek South Porphyry Copper-Gold Prospect, Golden Triangle, BC
Oreterra begins maiden drilling at the Trek South deposit following the execution of a $9.7 million financing plan.

Oreterra Metals Corp. has officially commenced Phase 1 drilling at the Trek South porphyry copper-gold prospect in BC's Golden Triangle. The initial program targets approximately 5,000 metres across 8 angled core holes to test significant induced polarization (IP) chargeability and magnetic anomalies. A second drill is expected to join the program shortly.
Concurrent exploration is advancing on adjacent un-drilled targets, specifically the Tundra Zone and Toe Zone, with IP surveys planned. The company has commenced trading on the OTCQB Venture Market under the symbol OTMCF. The program is fully financed following a $9.7-million private placement closed in March 2026.
Oreterra Metals Corp. (OTMC) has commenced drilling, a milestone that aligns with the company’s previously announced timeline and financing. This development confirms management’s ability to mobilize contractors, secure camp infrastructure, and navigate permitting in a timely manner. The announcement serves as a direct follow-up to the July 2026 camp construction updates and the March 2026 financing. As an expected, incremental step in the exploration lifecycle, the news reinforces the operational thesis but does not yet alter the fundamental valuation or risk profile until assay results are released.
Oreterra Metals Corp. (OTMC) is a mineral exploration company focused on high-potential copper-gold and gold-silver projects in North America. The company recently completed a corporate restructuring, including a 10:1 share consolidation and a name change from Romios Gold Resources Inc.
Its flagship project is Trek South, located in British Columbia's Golden Triangle and adjacent to Teck-Newmont's Galore Creek deposits. It is a newly revealed porphyry copper-gold prospect characterized by strong IP chargeability, magnetic anomalies, and surface alteration indicative of a porphyry system.
The company’s additional assets include the Kinkaid project in Nevada, which features porphyry-epithermal targets; the Lundmark-Akow Lake property in Ontario, a VMS-style gold-copper asset; and the Scossa Mine in Nevada, a historic high-grade gold producer.
