Coast Copper Acquires Strategic Ground Adjacent to Copper Kettle Property

Coast Copper expands its Copper Kettle footprint through an adjacent land acquisition and an associated net smelter return royalty agreement.

Executive Summary

Coast Copper Corp. (COCO) has acquired prospective mineral tenure adjacent to its 100% owned Copper Kettle property from an arms-length individual. The consideration for the acquisition consists of 300,000 common shares, deemed priced at $0.345 CAD per share, and a 2% Net Smelter Return (NSR) royalty. The company retains options to reduce the royalty, paying $1,000,000 to lower it to 1%, or an additional $2,000,000 to reduce it to 0.5%.

At the Copper Kettle property, advanced geological and copper-equivalent exploration-target modeling is progressing, with completion expected in the coming weeks. On July 27, 2026, the company received Notice of Work Permit No. 2000708 from the BC Ministry of Mining and Critical Minerals, authorizing geophysical surveying and diamond drilling on portions of Copper Kettle.

Regarding its other holdings, field work was completed on non-core BC projects including the Anyox Area, Toodoggone, and Knob Hill NW. Additional field work is planned for the Sully, Rock Canyon South, Rock Candy North, and Scottie West properties. Coast Copper is also engaging with two First Nations regarding asserted interests, making progress toward memorandums of understanding (MOUs). Field activities have been adjusted in specific areas pending the finalization of these frameworks. No MOUs had been executed as of the release date.

Material Impact

Coast Copper Corp. (COCO) has taken a strategic step toward expanding its flagship Copper Kettle land base by acquiring ground adjacent to BHP’s historic Island Copper lease and Northisle Copper and Gold. The addition is considered geologically logical and on-trend. The consideration for the acquisition is modest, consisting of 300,000 shares, which represents less than 0.4% dilution to the company’s approximately 76.3 million share count. The deal includes a 2% NSR, which is standard for early-stage acquisitions, alongside cash buyout options that provide future flexibility if the company secures capital.

The company also received a Notice of Work Permit, marking a positive operational milestone that clears a regulatory hurdle for a planned IP survey and a conditional 10-hole drill program. First Nations engagement remains a key variable; while progress has been noted, the lack of executed MOUs means field activities could still face delays or adjustments.

Company Overview

Coast Copper Corp. is a pre-revenue exploration company focused on copper, gold, silver, and molybdenum projects in British Columbia. Its flagship asset is the Copper Kettle project, which is 100% owned and covers more than 5,225 hectares on Northern Vancouver Island. Located within the Island Copper Cluster and adjacent to BHP’s historic Island Copper Mine, the property has shown significant copper-molybdenum mineralization in historical drilling. Recent airborne magnetotelluric (AMT) geophysics has identified a major untested porphyry target in the northwest zone.

The company also holds other key assets, including the past-producing Empire Mine, the Virginia Silver and Sweeney Mines at the Huckleberry Camp, and a portfolio of 16 additional prospects across active British Columbia mining camps. Coast Copper’s strategy centers on discovery-focused exploration, asset monetization to fund flagship projects, and minimizing shareholder dilution.
