Coast Copper Completes Additional Copper Kettle Claim Purchase
Coast advances its flagship Copper Kettle project through claim consolidation, though capital requirements remain a significant financial overhang for the company.

Coast Copper Corp. has completed the purchase of additional mineral tenure adjacent to its 100% owned Copper Kettle property. The acquired tenure contains historical drilling data from BHP (1979 and 1989), consisting of three vertical diamond drillholes totaling 458.7 metres, which will be integrated into the company's ongoing exploration evaluation.
Additionally, Coast Copper has earned a 100% interest in certain claims adjacent to its Sully property by fulfilling the final requirement of an option agreement: issuing 250,000 common shares to the optionor. This announcement serves as the closing/completion of the agreement announced on August 31, 2026, and the fulfillment of the Sully option announced on August 14, 2024.
Coast Copper Corp. (COCO) issued a follow-up announcement regarding previously disclosed transactions, specifically the Copper Kettle land purchase and the fulfillment of the Sully option. The issuance of 250,000 shares for the Sully claims represents minor dilution, amounting to approximately 0.3% of current shares outstanding.
The company did not disclose any new drilling results, resource definitions, or financial metrics. The integration of historical BHP data is described as a standard procedural step in exploration. The announcement aligns with previous expectations and management's stated strategy of consolidating ground around flagship assets, carrying no unexpected upside or downside.
Coast Copper Corp. is a pre-revenue exploration company focused on copper, gold, silver, and molybdenum projects in British Columbia. The company holds a portfolio of 19 projects across multiple BC mining camps, with its flagship assets being the Copper Kettle porphyry Cu-Mo system on Northern Vancouver Island and the Empire Mine brownfield Cu-Au project.
Coast Copper Corp. is currently in a pre-resource to drill-ready development stage, with no NI 43-101 resources or reserves defined to date. The company’s strategy involves actively monetizing non-core assets to fund exploration on its flagship properties, aiming to minimize shareholder dilution.
