Primary Hydrogen Corp. (HDRO) has staked the Wallace Natural Hydrogen Project in Cumberland County, Nova Scotia, adding four exploration licences covering 68 claims and approximately 1,101 hectares. This acquisition marks the company's second project in the Cumberland Basin, following the Northumberland Project staked on August 17, 2026. The company’s total holdings in the Cumberland Basin now comprise six licences, 140 claims, and approximately 2,267 hectares.

The Wallace Project is situated on the northern margin of the basin, between Pugwash and Wallace, with road access via Route 6. The geological thesis centers on Windsor Group evaporites acting as potential seals and reactivated basin-margin faults serving as migration pathways. No drilling or hydrogen occurrences have been documented on the project to date.

Planned work for the current field season includes data compilation, structural interpretation, and soil-gas orientation surveying across the basin-margin ground. In terms of regulatory context, Nova Scotia passed the Powering the Economy Act in April 2026 to regulate natural hydrogen, but it is not yet proclaimed in force; current licences are issued under the Mineral Resources Act.
