Capstone Copper Completes Acquisition of San Pietro Copper Concessions, Consolidating the Mantoverde-Santo Domingo Copper District

Capstone acquires San Pietro concessions to consolidate its Atacama copper district operations.

Executive Summary

Capstone Copper Corp. (CS) has completed the acquisition of the San Pietro copper-gold-iron-cobalt project in Chile’s Atacama Region from New Golden Exploration Chile SpA. The transaction consideration consists of 2,034,970 Capstone shares valued at C$15.77 per share, totaling approximately $25 million USD.

The deal adds approximately 16,000 hectares of land and significant mineral inventory to Capstone’s district-scale position. The acquired assets include the Rincones and Colla deposits, which host an NI 43-101 Inferred Mineral Resource of 492 million tonnes grading 0.23% copper, 0.05 g/t gold, 99 ppm cobalt, and 1.07% iron.

The project is strategically located between Capstone’s Mantoverde, Santo Domingo, and Sierra Norte properties. Management views the acquisition as a consolidation step to leverage existing infrastructure and unlock transformational copper production growth.

Material Impact

Capstone Copper Corp. (CS) has completed a $25 million acquisition, a strategic land consolidation move that adds only inferred resources to a district where the company already holds a dominant position. The transaction does not alter near-term production profiles, cost structures, or capital expenditure plans.
