Klondike Gold Reports Additional Montana Creek Royalty Gold Receipts, Announces Phase 2 2026 Drill Program and Provides Exploration Update
Klondike Gold uses Montana Creek royalties to fund Phase 2 drilling for its 2026 program.

Klondike Gold Corp. reported cumulative 2026 royalty receipts of 377.7 ounces of placer flake gold (~82% purity) from the Montana Creek Placer Property. As of August 23, 2026, approximately 306 ounces were credited as refined gold (99.99% purity).
The company completed hyperspectral scanning of 22,352.1 meters of drill core to map alteration zones associated with gold mineralization. Assay results remain pending for Phase 1 of the 2026 diamond drill program, which completed 7,697.17 meters across 34 holes targeting extensions of the Lone Star Zone. Phase 2 drilling, comprising up to 8,000 meters, is scheduled to commence in September 2026.
An updated NI 43-101 Mineral Resource Estimate (MRE) incorporating 2022-2026 drilling data, including potential tellurium resources, is targeted for completion in the first half of 2027. The royalty agreement with Armstrong Mining Corp. provides a 10% production royalty, capped at $9.5 million, funding ongoing exploration.
Klondike Gold Corp. released its August 26 update, a direct follow-up to the July 23 report, confirming continued royalty inflows and exploration progress on schedule. Royalty receipts increased by approximately 201.6 ounces since the prior update, providing incremental, non-dilutive funding as previously projected.
The company announced that Phase 1 assays are pending and that Phase 2 drilling will begin in September, aligning with management's stated timeline and prior guidance. No new geological surprises, financing events, or operational disruptions were reported. The announcement confirms execution rather than introducing market-moving catalysts.
Klondike Gold Corp. is a junior explorer focused on the 727 sq km Klondike District Project in the Dawson Mining District, Yukon, Canada. The company’s flagship assets are the Lone Star and Stander zones, which host orogenic-style gold mineralization. A maiden mineral resource estimate in December 2021 outlined 469,000 oz indicated and 112,000 oz inferred gold ounces. Since then, post-MRE drilling has added over 19,000 meters, testing extensions and new structural targets. Additionally, the Montana Creek Placer Property is leased by Armstrong Mining Corp. under a six-year agreement with an option to purchase, providing Klondike Gold with a 10% production royalty capped at $9.5 million by March 2031.
