Klondike Gold Reports Increased Montana Creek Royalty Gold Receipts, Completes Phase 1 2026 Drill Program and Provides Exploration Update
Klondike completes phase 1 drilling with assays pending, while a royalty increase remains immaterial to its resource expansion thesis.

Klondike Gold Corp. has completed its Phase 1 2026 diamond drill program, which included 7,697.17 meters across 34 holes targeting extensions of the Lone Star Zone along strike. All analytical results are currently pending, with no assay data reported at this time.
Regarding production, the company received 176.1 ounces of placer flake gold, approximately 82% pure, from Armstrong Mining for the 2026 season to date. This resulted in approximately 141 ounces of refined gold credited after accounting for refining, fees, taxes, and royalties. Royalty ounces have increased by 136.2 ounces since the June 1, 2026 update.
Looking ahead, hyperspectral scanning of 18,000 to 20,000 meters of historic core is scheduled to begin in August. A Phase 2 drilling program of up to 8,000 meters is planned for September, subject to the interpretation of Phase 1 assays. The company reiterated its target for an updated NI 43-101 Mineral Resource Estimate in the first half of 2027.
Klondike Gold Corp. (KG) reported royalty revenue of 141 ounces of refined gold, valued at approximately $350,000 to $420,000 at current gold prices. This amount is immaterial relative to the company’s market capitalization of roughly $40 million and its earlier 2026 royalty forecast of $1.5 million, representing an incremental but non-transformational cash flow item.
The completion of Phase 1 drilling was already guided and expected. The absence of assay data means the company’s resource-expansion thesis is neither advanced nor derailed. For a junior explorer, a news release without new assay data is inherently routine.
The market’s reaction saw the stock grinding lower from a March spike of $0.31 to near $0.16, suggesting the update did not alter the risk-reward profile.
Klondike Gold Corp. is a Canadian junior explorer holding a 727 km², 100%-owned land package in the historic Klondike goldfields of the Yukon. Its primary asset is the Klondike District Project, which hosts orogenic gold deposits at Lone Star and Stander. A 2022 pit-constrained mineral resource estimate defined 469,000 oz Indicated and 112,000 oz Inferred at Lone Star, plus 65,000 oz Indicated at Stander.
The company also derives non-core royalty income from a placer mining lease on the Montana Creek property, with a total potential of up to $9.5 million in royalties under an option-to-purchase agreement. Klondike Gold Corp. is in the exploration stage and has no production or economic study.
