Sirios Intersects 2.4 g/t Gold over 48.5m and Confirms the Cheechoo Deposit's Extension Beyond the 2025 Resource Estimate
Sirios reports long, low-grade gold intercepts with bonanza values at the Cheechoo deposit, though final widths remain pending.

Sirios Resources Inc. has released assay results for the first five of 33 completed Phase 1 drill holes at its Cheechoo property in Quebec, along with the extension of hole CH26-300E. The company reports only the initial assays, with 28 completed holes still pending and four currently in progress. Total drilling for Phase 1 stands at 13,555 meters to date.
The reported intervals all have a downhole length, an over 0.30 g/t Au cutoff, and a maximum 3 m internal waste. Key results include:
- CH26-326: 48.5 m at 2.40 g/t Au from 561.5 m, including 1.1 m at 77.65 g/t Au from 564.5 m; also 37.6 m at 1.49 g/t Au from 257.7 m; 11.0 m at 1.37 g/t Au from 688.0 m; 19.9 m at 0.84 g/t Au from 139.6 m; 4.5 m at 1.36 g/t Au from 84.5 m; 16.0 m at 0.48 g/t Au from 31.0 m.
- CH26-327: 32.2 m at 1.16 g/t Au from 78.5 m, including 1.5 m at 12.88 g/t Au; 10.3 m at 2.28 g/t Au from 114.0 m, including 1.5 m at 10.39 g/t Au; 9.0 m at 2.47 g/t Au from 56.0 m.
- CH26-300E: 10.3 m at 0.77 g/t Au from 326.3 m.
- CH26-328: 11.5 m at 0.45 g/t Au from 47.5 m.
- CH26-329: non-significant.
Sirios stated that visible gold was observed in eight holes, with assays pending for seven of those. True thicknesses are unknown, as the reported lengths are measured along the drill holes.
Sirios Resources Inc. (SOI) has released early-stage exploration results from its Cheechoo project, marking new exploration news that does not yet alter the existing resource estimate or the broader project thesis. The company currently holds a substantial 1.3 moz indicated and 1.7 moz inferred resource, with the market largely pricing Cheechoo as an advanced James Bay development story.
The current price does not clearly embed a fresh Cheechoo step-out anchor, meaning the release should be judged against Cheechoo's resource grade and project advancement rather than against a previously drilled best hole.
While several headline intervals are above resource grade, long composites are heavily influenced by narrow bonanza inclusions. These results are encouraging rather than transformational, supporting the argument that mineralization continues beyond the 2025 resource, though they do not yet prove a materially expanded volume.
As of March 31, 2026, Sirios held C$27.6 million in cash and no material debt, ensuring the Phase 1 program is funded.
Sirios Resources Inc. (SOI) is a Quebec-based gold exploration and development company focused on the Eeyou Istchee James Bay region. Its flagship Cheechoo project is 100% owned and hosts 34.99 Mt indicated at 1.12 g/t Au for 1.262 moz, plus 42.72 Mt inferred at 1.23 g/t Au for 1.688 moz. A conceptual exploration target of 31-40 Mt at 1.27-1.45 g/t Au sits outside the current resource.
The December 2025 acquisition of OVI Mining added PLEX, Corvet Est, and Lac Pau, creating an Osisko-backed Quebec gold portfolio. Aquilon is optioned, with Sumitomo Metal Mining Canada having earned 51% after funding more than C$4.8 million.
Management and board include Jean-Félix Lepage as CEO, Osisko-linked directors Sean Roosen and Laurence Farmer, and former Malartic/Éléonore-experienced executives. The company has no revenue and relies on equity financing for exploration.
