Eagle Plains' Partner Xcite Uranium Inc. Commences Drill Program at the Don Lake Uranium Project, Saskatchewan
Eagle Plains advances its uranium portfolio with partner-funded drilling, maintaining execution on schedule without new catalysts to re-rate the project.

Eagle Plains Resources Ltd. announced that partner Xcite Uranium Inc. has commenced a 1,500-meter, 14-hole diamond drilling program at the company’s 100%-owned Don Lake Uranium Project in Saskatchewan. The 2026 exploration budget is approximately $1.1 million, with $900,000 allocated specifically for drilling managed by TerraLogic Exploration and contracted to Apex Drilling.
The drilling targets structurally-controlled uranium mineralization at the Don and Midas areas, located west of the Black Bay Fault and north of the Townsend Fault. Historical context highlights high-grade trenching, with results up to 8.57% U3O8 over 0.91m, and drilling, with results up to 10.7% U3O8 over 0.3m. Management caveats that these historical results are unverified by a Qualified Person.
The release reiterates the existing option agreement under which Xcite may earn an 80% interest by completing $3.2 million in exploration expenditures, issuing 750,000 common shares, and making cash payments totaling $330,000. Upon fulfillment, an 80/20 joint venture forms, with Eagle Plains retaining a carried interest until a bankable feasibility study and a 2% NSR royalty.
Eagle Plains Resources Ltd. (EPL) released a routine positive update regarding its drilling program, which had been explicitly telegraphed in the June 2026 geophysical results release targeting Q3/Q4 2026 drilling. The market has already priced in this progression, as evidenced by the stock trading in a tight $0.19–$0.20 range since mid-July 2026.
There is no new financial, operational, or strategic surprise. The transaction structure, budget, and targets are consistent with prior disclosures. The stock is unlikely to move meaningfully on this news alone unless drill results significantly exceed historical unverified grades or reveal new structural controls.
Eagle Plains Resources Ltd. (EPL) operates a project generator model, acquiring and advancing early-stage mineral properties through its in-house geological expertise, TerraLogic, and third-party option agreements. The company’s portfolio spans uranium projects in Saskatchewan, gold and base metal properties in Saskatchewan, and copper-gold assets in British Columbia.
Key partners include Xcite Uranium, which holds six uranium projects; Sun Summit Minerals, associated with the Theory project; Earthwise Minerals, linked to the Iron Range; Pacific Bay Minerals, connected to Haskins; and American Eagle Gold, tied to Hearne Hill South. The company maintains a diversified, low-dilution strategy by retaining carried interests and 2% NSR royalties while transferring exploration risk and funding to partners.
