Eagle Plains Reports Additional Results from Drilling at the Don Lake Uranium Project, Saskatchewan
Eagle Plains reports preliminary gamma hits at Don Lake, underscoring early-stage uranium exploration with no chemical assays yet.

Eagle Plains Resources Ltd. (EPL) and partner Xcite Uranium have announced initial drilling results from the 2026 program at the Don Lake Uranium Project in Saskatchewan. The ten-hole, 1,106-meter campaign intersected multiple intervals of anomalous radioactivity within the B, C, and A Zones.
These results rely entirely on downhole spectral gamma probe and handheld scintillometer measurements. Geochemical assays are pending, and true thicknesses cannot yet be determined. The 2026 budget for Don Lake is approximately $1.1 million, with $900,000 allocated for drilling.
Xcite maintains an option to earn up to an 80% interest by completing $3.2 million in exploration expenditures, issuing 750,000 shares, and making cash payments totaling $19.2 million.
Gamma probe readings provided preliminary indicators of radioactivity but do not constitute chemical assay results or resource definitions. Following the release, the stock traded between $0.18 and $0.19, suggesting the news was fully telegraphed and priced in. The update did not introduce new financial, operational, or strategic catalysts.
Eagle Plains Resources Ltd. (EPL) operates as a project generator, acquiring and advancing early-stage mineral properties in Saskatchewan and British Columbia. Its portfolio includes uranium projects such as Don Lake, Dufferin, Beaver River, Black Bay, Gulch, Lorado, and Smitty; gold and base metal properties including Iron Range, Pine Channel, George Lake, and Bulldog; and copper-gold assets comprising Theory, Orbit, and Hearne Hill South. The company leverages in-house geological expertise through TerraLogic and partners with junior explorers who fund exploration in exchange for earn-in options.
