Puma Exploration Announces Launch of Kinross Gold Corp. Drilling Program at Williams Brook
Puma initiates a $2 million drill program at its Williams Brook project, with execution continuing as planned.

Kinross Gold Corp. has initiated a new 2,000-metre diamond drilling program at the Williams Brook Gold Project, focusing on the Jaguar Gold Zone (JGZ) and adjacent geophysical anomalies. To date, seven holes have been completed, with lengths ranging from 200 to 500 metres. The program is designed to define the core of the JGZ, test step-out targets approximately 500 metres away, and evaluate lateral and down-plunge extensions.
Recent Winter 2026 drilling results highlighted a 56.50-metre interval grading 0.45 g/t Au, which included a 16.0-metre sub-interval at 1.03 g/t Au. Summer 2026 exploration activities are currently underway, encompassing soil geochemistry with 1,411 samples across two grids, 32 test pit trenches, and a 2,920.9-hectare drone magnetic survey. This drilling effort is part of Kinross's option agreement to earn a 65% interest by funding a minimum of $16.75 million in exploration expenditures over a five-year period from 2025 to 2030.
Puma Exploration Inc. (PUMA) announced a routine operational update confirming that Kinross is executing on its previously committed Year 2 exploration budget. The release serves as a status update on an already-funded program, with no new assay results or material discoveries reported. The news is fully in line with market expectations and prior guidance regarding Kinross's 2026 work plan.
