Perpetua Resources Reports New High-Grade Gold and Antimony Discoveries and a New Gold-Tungsten Zone at Stibnite

Perpetua reports high-grade Au-Sb hits and a new gold-tungsten zone at its $4bn fully-permitted project.

Executive Summary

Perpetua Resources Corp. (PPTA) announced new drill results from its 2026 exploration program at the Stibnite Gold Project, highlighting a newly discovered gold-tungsten zone within the Yellow Pine Clark Tunnel Fault Zone (CTFZ). Hole SB597 intersected 21.3 meters at 3.2 grams per tonne gold (g/t Au) and 0.9% tungsten (W), which included a higher-grade interval of 7.0 meters at 7.1 g/t Au and 0.3% W.

The company also reported multiple high-grade gold-antimony intercepts from the CTFZ. These results include:

  • SB580: 6.4 meters at 16.2 g/t Au and 1.7% Sb from surface
  • SB582: 15.0 meters at 6.3 g/t Au and 0.8% Sb
  • SB581: 5.5 meters at 14.2 g/t Au and 1.2% Sb

In the Huckleberry Fault Zone (HFZ), drilling returned broad, low-grade intervals, such as 69.6 meters at 0.8 g/t Au. At Hangar Flats, the company identified high-grade gold, including 3.0 meters at 14.5 g/t Au, alongside antimony-tungsten intercepts such as 22.9 meters at 3.2% Sb and 1.2% W, which contained an internal interval of 1.8 meters at 8.3% Sb and 4.6% W.

Perpetua has submitted a proposal to the U.S. government for tungsten funding and noted that any tungsten development outside of current permits would require additional environmental review. The company stated that 5,800 meters of its 10,000-meter program have been completed.

Material Impact

Perpetua Resources Corp. (PPTA) is a pre-revenue developer holding $669M in cash, with a $2.9B EXIM loan approved and early-works construction underway. The project carries a $6.1B after-tax net present value at $4,500 Au, against a market capitalization of approximately $4.0B.

Recent drill results expanded known mineralization within permitted pits. The stock had already rallied 30% from July lows ahead of the release, suggesting some positive expectations were priced. The tungsten angle is long-dated and requires separate permitting and government funding, so it does not affect near-term economics. These results support the company’s goal of supplementing early production with higher-grade material.

Early works construction commenced in October 2025 following the receipt of final federal permits. The company holds $669 million in cash and has secured a $2.9 billion EXIM loan. The project is considered strategically important for domestic antimony supply and receives ongoing funding from the U.S. Department of Defense.
