Winshear Reports Drill Results from the Rodburn Target, Portsoy Project, NE Scotland

Winshear’s Rodburn drilling extends the footprint with modest grades, while a new DHEM conductor identifies the next exploration target.

Executive Summary

Winshear Metals Corp. (WINS) reported results from six diamond drill holes totaling 1,235.6 m at the Rodburn target on its Portsoy Ni–Cu–Co project in Scotland.

In the South Zone, hole RBD029 returned 8.15 m @ 0.77% Ni, 1.14% Cu, 0.05% Co, including 6.0 m @ 0.98% Ni, 1.51% Cu, 0.06% Co, extending mineralisation 100 m down-dip. Hole RBD030 hit 4 m @ 0.29% Ni, 0.18% Cu, interpreted as a peripheral halo. A downhole EM survey off RBD030 identified a strong, untested massive-sulphide conductor 100 m east of the hole.

In the North Zone, hole RBD028 extended mineralisation 100 m west, with a 16 m zone averaging 0.39% Ni, 0.14% Cu, 0.018% Co, enclosing higher-grade intervals of 3 m @ 0.98% Ni, 0.14% Cu, 0.045% Co and 4 m @ 0.76% Ni, 0.32% Cu, 0.034% Co. Metallurgical amenability to flotation is reiterated and NiEq values are calculated assuming equal metal recoveries.

Material Impact

Winshear Metals Corp. (WINS) is a pre-resource explorer with a market capitalization of approximately $6 million. The company’s investment thesis centers on the potential discovery of an economic massive sulphide nickel deposit at Portsoy. Recent drilling results provided incremental, confirmatory data that extended known low-to-moderate grade zones but did not yield a new high-grade intercept comparable to historic hits.

The most notable development in the release was the identification of an untested DHEM conductor, which serves as a future target rather than a current result. The stock had declined from $0.17 in February 2026 to $0.09 prior to this announcement, reflecting market indifference following initial financing excitement. These results are consistent with routine, volume-extending drill data typically released by junior explorers to maintain news flow.

Company Overview

Winshear Metals Corp. (WINS) is a junior explorer operating two primary projects: the Portsoy Ni–Cu–Co project in Scotland and the Thunder Bay gold project in Ontario. The Portsoy project is held under a 100% earn-in agreement from Peak Nickel, contingent on spending £3M over five years. The Thunder Bay project is in the early stages, characterized by geochemical anomalies. The company currently holds no resources or reserves.

Management is led by CEO Richard Williams and Qualified Person J. Patricio Varas. The corporate strategy focuses on acquiring assets, drilling, and seeking joint-venture or takeover opportunities. The company recently raised $2.5M at $0.10 per unit, a transaction that increased shares outstanding from 44.3M to 69.3M.
