Winshear Portsoy Project - Downhole Electromagnetic Survey Outlines Strong Conductor in the South Zone Close to Recent Drilling
Winshear’s downhole EM survey outlines a strong sulphide conductor at the Portsoy South Zone.

Winshear Metals Corp. reports that a downhole electromagnetic (DHEM) survey at the Portsoy Ni-Cu-Co Project in Scotland identified a strong conductor with characteristics of a massive sulphide body. The conductor is located near the end of drill hole RBD030 at the South Zone of the Rodburn Target and is modeled as being over 350m long by 50m wide, remaining open to depth.
The company plans to test this target in the next round of drilling, building on previous historic results that encountered significant Ni-Cu-Co mineralization. Key historic intercepts in the South Zone include:
- RBD004: 5.97m at 1.92% Ni, 1.52% Cu, 1198 ppm Co, 2.86% NiEq
- RBD009: 5.39m at 2.04% Ni, 0.56% Cu, 1110 ppm Co, 2.46% NiEq
The NiEq calculation is based on US$19,000/t Ni, US$9,000/t Cu, US$32,000/t Co, using an equal recovery assumption. Data modeling was performed by Mr. Alan King of Geoscience North Ltd., former Chief Geophysicist for INCO and Vale.
Winshear Metals Corp. (WINS) released an update on July 15, serving as a direct follow-up to its May 26, 2026 announcement. That earlier release detailed the completion of Phase 1 drilling, which comprised 1,235.6m across six holes, and the initial identification of a high-priority off-hole conductor. The latest update provides additional geophysical modeling of that conductor, confirming its dimensions and open-ended nature.
The company noted that this development does not constitute a resource estimate, does not change the project's development stage, and does not trigger any immediate financing or earn-in milestone payments. The news represents incremental exploration progress aligned with management's stated work plan.
Winshear Metals Corp. (WINS) is a Canadian-based exploration-stage company with no revenue, no known mineral resources, and no production. Its flagship asset is the Portsoy Nickel-Copper-Cobalt Project in Aberdeenshire, Scotland, covering 250 km², which the company acquired via an earn-in agreement with Peak Nickel Ltd. The company also holds a secondary project, the Thunder Bay Gold Project in Northwestern Ontario, spanning 360 km² under a separate earn-in agreement. Currently in the early exploration phase, Winshear Metals is focusing on geochemical sampling, geophysical surveys, and diamond drilling to define targets.
