Copper Giant Intersects 584 Metres of 0.73% CuEq* (0.40% Cu and 0.062% Mo), Exceeding the Mocoa Resource Model Ahead of the Anticipated PEA
Copper Giant’s Mocoa infill hole returned 584m at 0.73% copper equivalent, beating the resource model while a step-out hole showed low-grade results.

Copper Giant Resources Corp. reported that infill hole MD-066 intersected 584 meters of continuous copper-molybdenum mineralization grading 0.73% CuEq (0.40% Cu, 0.062% Mo) from a kick-off at 169 meters depth. The hole includes a higher-grade core comprising 183 meters at 0.94% CuEq (0.54% Cu, 0.076% Mo) and 230 meters at 0.89% CuEq (0.54% Cu, 0.065% Mo).
Corridor step-out hole MD-065 at the La Estrella target returned 176 meters at 0.30% CuEq (0.15% Cu, 0.027% Mo) from 610 meters, at the pit-constrained cut-off of 0.25% CuEq. MD-065 ended in mineralization and remains open to the northwest, with the molybdenum ratio increasing downhole. The company stated that these results validate the resource model ahead of the Preliminary Economic Assessment expected in Q4 2026.
Copper Giant Resources Corp. (CGNT) released incremental drilling results from holes MD-066 and MD-065, which serve to confirm and locally upgrade the existing resource model rather than transform it. MD-066 is an infill hole located within the known resource, while MD-065 encountered a low-grade corridor that does not materially expand the resource and falls well below economic thresholds.
The company’s inferred resource stands at 12.7 billion pounds of copper equivalent, and a preliminary economic assessment is already underway. These new drill results do not alter the scale or likely economics of the project in a significant way.
Shares of Copper Giant Resources Corp. have rallied from $0.23 to approximately $0.77 over the past year, pricing in substantial market expectations. The stock is currently consolidating in the $0.70–$0.80 range, and this routine positive infill result is unlikely to break out of that pattern.
Copper Giant Resources Corp. (CGNT) is a junior explorer focused on the Mocoa porphyry Cu-Mo project in Putumayo, Colombia. The company holds an inferred resource of 1.12 billion tonnes at 0.51% CuEq, containing 12.7 billion pounds of CuEq, 7.7 billion pounds of copper, and 1.0 billion pounds of molybdenum.
Copper Giant Resources Corp. is funded for a 23,000-meter drill campaign in 2026 and plans a preliminary economic assessment (PEA) in the second half of 2026. The company holds a unified mining title and has completed prior consultation agreements with local communities. Key shareholders include Frank Giustra, who holds approximately 13%, and Anglo Asian Mining, which holds approximately 11%.
