Copper Giant Identifies Thirteen Targets Beyond the Mocoa Resource and Its Interpreted Extensions
Copper Giant identifies thirteen new exploration targets beyond the Mocoa deposit’s billion-tonne copper-molybdenum resource through geophysical mapping.

Copper Giant Resources Corp. has released results from an independent geophysical modelling and predictive targeting study conducted by Mira Geoscience Ltd. over its Mocoa copper-molybdenum porphyry project in Colombia. The study identified 17 ranked target areas across an 81-square-kilometre area centered on the Mocoa deposit, with 13 of these targets located beyond the current resource footprint and its interpreted extensions.
The modelling independently reproduced five of nine previously defined exploration targets without being provided those outlines, validating the company's geological interpretation. Top-ranked targets G01 and G04 lie on the Mocoa–La Estrella corridor where directional drilling is currently underway.
The Mocoa deposit hosts a 1.12-billion-tonne Inferred resource of 12.7 billion pounds copper-equivalent (CuEq) at an average grade of 0.51% CuEq.
The company confirmed the Preliminary Economic Assessment (PEA) remains on schedule for delivery in Q4 2026. Next steps involve prioritizing the ranked areas for ground follow-up, mapping, surface sampling, and potential drill testing.
The disclosure provides technical validation of the multi-center porphyry system hypothesis and reinforces geological confidence ahead of the upcoming Preliminary Economic Assessment (PEA).
No new financial metrics, strategic partnerships, or capital raises were disclosed, and the PEA timeline remains unchanged. Given that the market had already priced in the $31M strategic financing, the Trafigura offtake, and the aggressive 2026 drill program, this incremental geophysical modeling is not considered market-moving. It represents a positive but routine step in the technical de-risking process.
Copper Giant Resources Corp. (CGNT) is a pre-revenue junior explorer advancing the Mocoa copper-molybdenum porphyry project in the Putumayo Department of southern Colombia. The project hosts a 1.12-billion-tonne Inferred resource grading 0.51% CuEq, containing 7.7 billion pounds of copper and 1.0 billion pounds of molybdenum. The deposit is interpreted as a large, multi-center porphyry system with over 1,000 metres of vertical continuity, open laterally and at depth. The company is currently in the exploration-to-PEA stage, utilizing directional drilling to efficiently expand the resource footprint and convert Inferred resources to Indicated status.
