Southern Cross Gold Drills 481 Metres of Mineralization Linking Christina to Golden Dyke in Westernmost Hole Including 0.8 Metres @ 141.0 g/t Gold

Southern Cross links Christina to Golden Dyke over 481 m at 0.92 g/t AuEq.

Executive Summary

Southern Cross Gold Consolidated Ltd. (SXGC) has reported five new drill holes at its Sunday Creek gold-antimony project in Victoria, Australia. The most significant result came from hole SDDSC235, the westernmost hole drilled from the Christina prospect, which intersected a 481-meter zone averaging 0.92 g/t AuEq (uncut) from a depth of 282.1 meters. This intersection links the Christina, Golden Dyke, and Rising Sun prospects.

Within that broad interval, several narrow high-grade pods were identified. These include 0.8 meters at 141.0 g/t AuEq (141.0 g/t Au) from 568.9 meters; 8.3 meters at 4.8 g/t AuEq (4.8 g/t Au); 1.8 meters at 37.2 g/t AuEq, including 0.2 meters at 337.0 g/t AuEq; and 1.6 meters at 21.4 g/t AuEq, including 0.2 meters at 156.5 g/t AuEq. Individual assays reached 496 g/t Au, 337 g/t Au, and 39.5% Sb over 0.10 meters.

Shallow hole SDDSC220 confirmed high-grade mineralization near the surface with 2.6 meters at 7.5 g/t AuEq. Holes SDDSC232, SDDSC207, and SDDSC213 returned additional narrow high-grade intervals. The release highlights a total of 93 composite intersections greater than 100 g/t Au on the project, with 68 holes pending and 11 rigs currently operating.

Material Impact

Southern Cross Gold Consolidated Ltd. (SXGC) released drill results linking the Christina and Golden Dyke zones, expanding the known mineralised footprint and validating the exploration thesis. The dyke swarm extends for 1.5 km, and the market had long anticipated continuity given prior high-grade hits between these areas.

The grades in the linking section are too low to be economic on their own; the value remains in the narrow high-grade veins. The news is incremental rather than transformational, as it does not add a new discovery or dramatically expand the high-grade resource potential beyond previously disclosed step-outs.

The share price had already recovered from $8.08 on July 16 to $9.25 before the release, suggesting some anticipation. Historical patterns show limited sustained moves after routine high-grade intercepts, and this result fits that pattern.

Company Overview

Southern Cross Gold Consolidated Ltd is a pre-revenue junior explorer focused on the 100%-owned Sunday Creek gold-antimony project, located 60 km north of Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. The project hosts a large epizonal vein system characterized by high-grade gold and antimony. No mineral resource or reserve has been declared; however, an Exploration Target of 8.1-9.6 Mt grading 8.3-10.6 g/t AuEq (2.2-3.2 moz AuEq) was published in March 2025.

A 1 km exploration decline is currently under construction, funded by a cash balance of C$123 million, with the goal of scaling drilling to 24 rigs. The company’s strategic positioning includes inclusion in the U.S. DIBC and Australian critical minerals initiatives, highlighting antimony as a key differentiator.
