Southern Cross Gold Updates Exploration Target at Sunday Creek Gold-Antimony Project, Victoria, Australia

Southern Cross expands its Sunday Creek exploration target to 4.6 moz AuEq, adding two prospects and 35 km of core.

Executive Summary

Southern Cross Gold Consolidated Ltd. (SXGC) has updated the Exploration Target for its Sunday Creek project to 10.4–11.9 million tonnes at 8.9–12.1 grams per tonne gold equivalent (AuEq), containing 3.0–4.6 million ounces of AuEq, which comprises 2.5–3.9 million ounces of gold and 63–95 kilotonnes of antimony. The revised target now encompasses five prospects—Christina, Golden Dyke, Rising Sun, Apollo, and Apollo East—spanning 1,500 meters of strike length, an expansion from the three prospects and 1,020 meters reported in the March 2025 estimate.

This area represents less than 15% of an 11-kilometer mineralized corridor. Thirty-five kilometers of core are currently awaiting assay results, with nine rigs actively drilling and a further 135 kilometers planned through the first quarter of 2027. The company also highlighted several high-grade intercepts located outside the current target boundary, including 0.7 meters at 137.7 grams per tonne gold, 1.6 meters at 59.8 grams per tonne AuEq, and 9.1 meters at 40.5 grams per tonne AuEq.

Metallurgical testing conducted in August 2025 confirmed gold recovery rates of 92–96% via gravity-flotation, producing a low-arsenic antimony concentrate suitable for smelters.

Material Impact

Southern Cross Gold Consolidated Ltd. (SXGC) has released an updated Exploration Target that expands its system by approximately 40% in contained metal, adds two new prospects, and more than doubles the known drill-defined strike. This development supports the narrative of a large, continuous deposit and underpins the potential for a substantial maiden resource.

While the market had likely priced in some expansion given the steady stream of high-grade results, the magnitude of the confirmed 1,500 m strike and the abundance of pending assays may exceed expectations. The company’s stock has corrected significantly from its March peak.

Southern Cross Gold Consolidated Ltd. remains pre-revenue, holding a strong cash position of C$123M and a fully funded path to a maiden resource and Preliminary Economic Assessment (PEA).

Company Overview

Southern Cross Gold Consolidated Ltd. owns 100% of the Sunday Creek project in Victoria, Australia, a 1,392-hectare freehold holding located 60 km north of Melbourne. The site hosts an epizonal gold-antimony system currently at the pre-resource stage, where an Exploration Target of 3.0–4.6 moz AuEq has been defined.

Over 130 km of drilling has confirmed high-grade, multi-vein mineralisation extending over 1.5 km of strike and to depths greater than 1,100 m, with the system remaining open in all directions. To accelerate definition, an exploration decline is being constructed to enable underground drilling. A 200 km drill program and the delivery of a maiden resource are planned by Q1 2027.

Metallurgical testing indicates non-refractory ore with gold recovery rates of 92–96%. The project also demonstrates the ability to produce a low-arsenic antimony concentrate, enhancing the site's dual-commodity value.
