Canstar Resources Receives $2.0 Million VMSC Advance, Bringing Total VMSC Funding to $4.0 Million to Advance Mary March Drilling
Canstar accelerates Mary March drilling with VMSC funding, though the stock drifts lower due to a lack of assay results.

Canstar Resources Inc. (ROX) has received a $2.0 million advance from VMS Mining Corporation (VMSC), bringing total funding from VMSC to $4.0 million to date. This advance accelerates Phase 2 of the VMSC earn-in agreement, increasing VMSC's indirect interest to 40% upon completion. The transaction is structured as non-dilutive project-level financing, with advances credited against VMSC's Phase 2 subscription.
Additionally, the company is establishing a $500,000 credit facility secured by its Churchill Resources shareholding, representing a ~5.0% stake, to support corporate working capital. Drilling at the Mary March project is fully funded and underway. The first hole (MM-26-41) reported encouraging visual observations of altered rhyolite and base-metal sulphides, with laboratory assays pending.
Canstar Resources Inc. (ROX) received a $2.0 million advance, a milestone under the definitive joint venture agreement announced in February 2026. This payment confirms VMSC’s continued commitment to the Mary March drill program and funds the next phase of exploration.
The company also announced a $500,000 credit facility secured by Churchill shares, which provides corporate treasury flexibility. This transaction involves director J. Paul Austin III, creating a related-party transaction that requires monitoring for governance implications.
The release reinforces the execution of the 2026 exploration plan but does not contain new assay results or unexpected strategic shifts. The market has already priced in the JV structure and funding schedule.

The company has consolidated its land package through option agreements and acquisitions, expanding control over the Mary March-Nancy April VMS system. Additional assets include the Buchans project, which targets downdip extensions, and the Golden Baie gold-antimony project, which is optioned to Churchill Resources. Canstar also holds newly acquired exploration permits in Sweden's Skellefte VMS district.
