[Video Enhanced] West Red Lake Gold Production increases 51% in Q2 2026, as Annual Net Interest on US Debt Reaches $1 Trillion
West Red Lake reports a Q2 production surge that reinforces its guidance despite high AISC and heavy debt weighing on its ramp-up story.

West Red Lake Gold Mines Ltd. (WRLG) released an operational update on July 20, 2026, summarizing Q2 2026 performance at the Madsen Mine and referencing an updated Rowan Project Mineral Resource Estimate. The company reported that mined tonnage rose 46% quarter-over-quarter to 75,524 tonnes, with mined ounces increasing 73% to 10,459 oz. Gold production increased 51% quarter-over-quarter to 8,576 oz, while mill throughput averaged approximately 842 tonnes per day. Additionally, a surface stockpile of 10,768 tonnes containing approximately 1,500 oz was generated.
The company reaffirmed its full-year production guidance of 35,000–45,000 oz, with mill throughput expected to reach approximately 1,000 tonnes per day in the second half of 2026. The Rowan Resource Estimate, previously announced on June 9, 2026, saw Indicated ounces rise 70% to 334,825 oz at 13.03 g/t Au. Inferred resources grew 52% to 179,013 oz at 15.31 g/t Au, at a discovery cost of approximately C$17.60/oz.
The release serves as a restatement of the Q2 production figures first reported on July 15, 2026, accompanied by a video component and a re-emphasis of the Rowan MRE.
West Red Lake Gold Mines Ltd. (WRLG) released an update on July 20 that contained no new information beyond what was previously disclosed on July 15, 2026. The market reacted to the initial July 15 announcement with a 14% single-day gain, closing at $0.73 compared to the prior day’s close of $0.64, effectively absorbing the production beat. The July 20 video-enhanced release merely repackages those figures and reiterates guidance, adding no incremental financial or operational data. The Rowan Mineral Resource Estimate (MRE) was announced on June 9 and is not new.
