GSP Completes First Stage of 2026 Drilling at Alwin; Commences First Modern Drill Test of Mer Porphyry Copper Target

GSP completes Alwin drilling and begins Mer porphyry testing in an operational update with no assay results disclosed.

Executive Summary

GSP Resource Corp. (GSPR) completed approximately 1,150 metres of diamond drilling in four holes at the Alwin high-grade gold target, according to a July 8, 2026 release. Core from the Alwin program is currently being split and logged before shipment to ALS Labs, with no assay results provided at this time.

The drill rig has since moved to the nearby Mer property to begin the first modern diamond drilling on a porphyry copper target. This phase involves two initial holes of about 250 metres each.

The release provided context from the late-2024 Alwin discovery hole AM-24-06, which returned 5.04 g/t Au and 1.01% Cu over 7.90 m. It also referenced historical Mer percussion and diamond holes, including 30 m at 0.53% Cu and 24 m at 0.29% Cu. Visual mineralization, including quartz-chlorite-sericite and chalcopyrite-pyrite-bornite, was noted in the new Alwin core, appearing similar to prior discoveries, though no grades were reported.

Material Impact

GSP Resource Corp. (GSPR) issued a routine operational update, completing a small drill program totaling 1,150 meters and moving a rig to test a new target. The release provided no new resource, grade, or thickness data.

The announcement does not alter the Alwin resource thesis or de-risk the Mer porphyry target. The market had already anticipated drilling activity in Q2 2026, as announced in April and May. The stock chart shows a drift lower from January highs, and this release is unlikely to move the price materially.

Company Overview

GSP Resource Corp. holds 100% ownership of three properties within British Columbia’s Highland Valley Copper Camp. The Alwin Mine Project, a past producer of copper, silver, and gold, hosts a 2024 inferred resource of 1.46 million tonnes at 1.08% copper, equating to 34.6 million pounds of copper. The project also features a new high-grade gold discovery hole, AM-24-06.

The Mer Property consists of 185 hectares of porphyry copper-molybdenum target area adjacent to Teck’s Highland Valley Copper operations. Historical shallow drilling and surface sampling have defined a copper anomaly at the site. The Olivine Mountain property has been optioned to Full Metal Minerals and is not a current focus for GSP.

Simon Dyakowski serves as President and CEO. The company’s capital structure reflects approximately 48.4 million shares outstanding, with insiders owning roughly 22%. As of February 28, 2026, cash reserves stood at $237,000. A $1.22 million financing closed in May 2026 fully funds Phase 1 drilling.
