GSP Resource Corp. Provides 2026 Year-To-Date Summary and Fall Outlook as First Assays from Step-Out Drilling at the Alwin High-Grade Gold Discovery Approach

GSP completes drilling at Alwin, teasing gold step-outs without releasing assay results or specific grade and width figures.

Executive Summary

GSP Resource Corp. released a year-to-date operational summary on September 1, 2026, which did not include new assay intervals for 2026 drill holes. The company reported completing 1,801 metres of diamond drilling across eight holes at the Alwin Mine and Mer properties. This work included four Alwin step-out holes totaling approximately 1,150 metres, which flank the late-2024 discovery hole AM-24-06, and four maiden Mer porphyry holes totaling approximately 651 metres.

All four Alwin holes reportedly logged quartz-chlorite-sericite and chalcopyrite-pyrite (±bornite) mineralized zones visually similar to the discovery core. All four Mer holes intersected near-surface visible copper. Assays are pending, with 2,432 core samples submitted to ALS Canada Ltd. in Kamloops. Alwin results are expected first in September.

The release also recapped the $1.22 million over-subscribed financing that closed on May 14, the receipt of a five-year Mer drill permit on April 22, and the retention of 100% of Olivine Mountain after Full Metal failed to exercise its option. The Alwin resource remains copper-only, comprising 1.46 million tonnes at 1.08% copper inferred, containing 34.6 million pounds of copper. Gold is not yet included in the resource.

The release repeated data for the discovery hole AM-24-06, which returned 5.04 g/t Au and 1.01% Cu over 7.90 m, including 22.93 g/t Au and 1.82% Cu over 1.64 m, with an individual 0.84 m sample at 35.1 g/t Au. The estimated true width is about 75% of the drilled width.

Material Impact

GSP Resource Corp. (GSPR) released operational updates on September 1, reiterating milestones previously reported on July 8, August 11, and August 21. The update included a 2,432-sample count and specified that the first Alwin assays will be released in September. The release did not alter the Inferred copper resource, add gold ounces, or de-risk the discovery.

Following the August 11 report, the stock rose from approximately $0.10 to $0.14 by August 31, a movement likely driven by anticipation of upcoming assay results. The market appears to be pricing in the potential that four step-outs will confirm and extend the high-grade gold zone. Today’s release contains no actual assay data, serving only to maintain the current setup without satisfying or refuting those expectations.

For the pre-revenue junior explorer, which faces going-concern risk, the pending Alwin assays represent the primary material event.

Company Overview

GSP Resource Corp. operates as a pre-revenue junior explorer with three 100%-owned projects in southwestern British Columbia: Alwin Mine (575 ha), Mer (185 ha), and Olivine Mountain (3,022 ha). Alwin is a past-producing copper mine holding an Inferred copper-only resource of 1.46 Mt at 1.08% Cu. The company’s current exploration focus is a 2024 discovery of high-grade gold below the pit shell, which returned 5.04 g/t Au and 1.01% Cu over 7.90 m, including 22.93 g/t Au and 1.82% Cu over 1.64 m. Mer is an early-stage porphyry Cu-Mo target adjacent to Teck’s Highland Valley operations, while Olivine Mountain is a Cu-Au-PGE early-stage property in the Tulameen ultramafic complex.

Financially, the company is not generating revenue. The MD&A for the nine months ended February 28, 2026, reports a net loss of $510,004 and negative operating cash flow of $378,425, including an explicit going-concern warning. A May 2026 $1.22 million placement funded the Phase 1 program, but future work depends on further equity raises.
