T2 Metals Commences 2026 Summer Exploration Program at Shanghai and Aurora Projects, Yukon, Canada

TWO · Price

T2 Metals Corp. (TWO) has announced the commencement of its Q3/Q4 2026 field program across its Shanghai and Aurora gold-silver projects, located in the Yukon's Tombstone Gold Belt. The multi-disciplinary exploration initiative aims to expand known prospect areas, generate new drill-ready targets, and advance both projects toward drilling in the second half of the season. The program builds on historical work by renowned prospector Shawn Ryan and includes a suite of geophysical and geochemical surveys followed by rotary air blast (RAB) and diamond drilling.

The exploration scope covers over 100 square kilometers across the Shanghai and Aurora projects. Geophysical surveys will include airborne LiDAR, aeromagnetic, and radiometric data to refine structural and intrusion-related targets. Additionally, ground VLF-EM (very low frequency electromagnetic) surveying will be conducted to map conductive structures associated with gold mineralization.

Geochemical and geological work will involve soil (auger) sampling to extend and infill known gold and silver anomalies. Prospecting, geological mapping, and rock sampling will also be undertaken to identify sources of mineralization. Drilling plans include RAB drilling for low-cost, near-surface coverage of priority targets to guide diamond drill planning, followed by diamond drilling to test priority targets at depth.

The Shanghai project is situated in the Mayo Mining District, near historic large-scale gold-silver systems such as the Keno Hill Mine and the AurMac Gold Project. The Aurora project is located in the Dawson Mining District, near recent discoveries such as Prospector Metals' ML Project. Both projects show potential for intrusion-related gold systems with high-grade gold and silver in historical sampling. The program leverages data and methodical exploration work from Shawn Ryan, who is credited with major Yukon discoveries and serves on the Company's Advisory Board.

"The Tombstone Gold Belt within the Yukon is one of the most exciting places globally to be looking for gold and silver. We are fortunate to be exploring two highly prospective and underexplored projects with excellent gold and silver discovery potential," said Mark Saxon, President & CEO of T2 Metals.

"Building on his work at Shanghai and Aurora gives our team a real head start, as we begin a highly productive season. We will share regular updates with shareholders as new information becomes available."
