T2 Metals Discovers High-Grade Gold and Defines New Targets at Aurora Gold Project, Yukon, Canada
T2’s Aurora soil sampling identified high-grade gold anomalies ahead of upcoming RAB drill results at the project.

T2 Metals Corp. has released the initial auger and soil sampling results from its Aurora Gold Project in the Yukon. The company analyzed 1,619 soil samples across a 10 km by 5 km area, identifying significant geochemical anomalies. Peak assay values recorded include 10,078 ppb Au (10.078 g/t), 85.6 ppm Ag, and 0.74% Cu.
Based on the sampling data, T2 Metals defined two new high-priority targets. Target 1 is a 500 m x 200 m cluster located west-southwest of the JC prospect, displaying gold-dominant RIRGS geochemistry with elevated arsenic, bismuth, and antimony. Target 2 is a 400 m x 200 m area situated north-northwest of the AJ prospect, which shows stronger copper and silver responses alongside RIRGS signatures, suggesting potential skarn-style mineralization.
Reverse Air Blast (RAB) drilling at the TK, JC, and Rainbow targets is now complete. The company expects infill sampling and regional results to be delivered in Q3/Q4 2026. T2 Metals acquired the project in February 2026, taking over a site with less than 3,000 m of historical drilling and no activity for over 15 years prior to the company’s involvement.
T2 Metals Corp. (TWO) confirmed that soil sampling preceded drilling, consistent with market expectations following the July 30, 2026 announcement of the RAB program commencement. The results validate the geological model by confirming the presence of high-grade gold and copper anomalies, while also expanding the known footprint beyond historical prospects.
This development represents an incremental step in the exploration workflow. As soil sampling results rather than drill core assays, they do not carry the immediate financial or resource-defining impact of a core assay release. The findings align with previous guidance that RAB results would follow soil sampling, setting the stage for upcoming Q3/Q4 drill results, which are expected to serve as the primary material catalyst.
T2 Metals Corp. (TWO) is a discovery-focused explorer targeting gold, silver, and copper in tier-one jurisdictions. The company’s project portfolio includes the Aurora and Shanghai projects in the Yukon, the Sherridon project in Manitoba, and the Lida project in Nevada.
The Aurora project is a high-priority gold-silver property featuring a 76 km² land package and marks the first drilling in 15 years. The Shanghai project is an undrilled gold-silver property with a Class 3 permit secured and high-grade historic silver and gold sampling. The Sherridon project is an advanced exploration site with a completed NI 43-101 Mineral Resource Estimate. The Lida project is a greenfield copper-silver property located in a historic district.
Sherridon holds the most advanced resource, comprising 10.04 Mt Indicated and 18.15 Mt Inferred. Aurora is the primary near-term discovery play, characterized by high-grade historical analogues and recent soil anomalies.
