Standard Uranium Confirms Strong Radioactivity up to 48,000 cps at Surface and Discovers New Showings at the Corvo Uranium Project
Standard upgrades surface radioactivity protocols to refine its 2027 drill targeting program at the Corvo project.

Standard Uranium Ltd. (STND) announced preliminary results from its fall 2026 surface exploration program at the Corvo Uranium Project. Scintillometer readings confirmed strong, structurally-controlled radioactivity, upgrading the historical Manhattan East showing from 10,600 cps to 48,000 cps. Additionally, a new radioactive showing was discovered on the Brooklyn trend, recording up to 13,400 cps.
Nine outcrop grab samples were submitted for geochemical analysis, with results pending. The company plans supplementary geophysical work to refine drill targets ahead of a planned 2027 follow-up drilling program. The program was funded by partner Aventis Energy Inc. under a three-year earn-in option agreement, with Standard Uranium acting as operator.
Standard Uranium Ltd. (STND) reported incremental exploration progress that validates the targeting model established during its winter 2026 drilling campaign. Upgraded surface radioactivity readings confirm the model’s effectiveness, following a winter program that intersected anomalous uranium in all nine completed holes.
The company also identified new showings and submitted grab samples, steps expected to feed directly into the refinement of 2027 drill targets. No new financing, material assay results, or regulatory milestones were disclosed in the release. The strategic impact is limited to advancing the exploration timeline and de-risking the 2027 program.
Standard Uranium Ltd. (STND) operates as a project generator and exploration company focused on the Athabasca Basin in Saskatchewan, Canada. The company manages a portfolio of over 272,035 acres across 58 mineral claims, transitioning to a model that leverages partner funding for exploration.
The company’s flagship project is the 100%-owned Davidson River property, which covers 30,737 hectares. This project targets basement-hosted uranium mineralization along the Warrior, Bronco, and Thunderbird corridors. Since 2020, the site has undergone 23,295 meters of drilling and utilizes advanced ExoSphere multiphysics surveys and GoldSpot machine-learning targeting.
Other projects include Corvo, subject to an Aventis Energy earn-in, and Rocas, subject to a Collective Metals earn-in. The company also holds the 100%-owned Sun Dog project, which is available for option, along with multiple joint venture-ready projects in the Eastern Athabasca Basin.
