Barksdale Closes Final Tranche of Private Placement, Bringing Aggregate Gross Proceeds to C$15.7 Million
Barksdale closes a final tranche of C$15.7 million financing to fund its 16,000-metre drill program at the Sunnyside project.

Barksdale Resources Corp. (BRO) closed the second and final tranche of its non-brokered private placement on October 29, 2026. The company raised an additional C$2.5 million, bringing total aggregate gross proceeds to C$15.7 million from the offering announced in September 2026. Proceeds will fund a 16,000-metre diamond core drilling program at the 67.5%-owned Sunnyside project, an airborne ZTEM survey over Sunnyside and Four Metals, and general working capital.
The final tranche issued 13,908,839 units at C$0.18 per unit, including the exercise of Crescat Portfolio Management LLC's participation right. Each unit consists of one common share and one-half of a warrant exercisable at C$0.30 until October 28, 2028. A four-month statutory hold period applies to all securities, expiring March 1, 2027. Advisory fees of C$600,000 were paid in connection with the offering.
Insider participation included Crescat (9,347,839 units) and Director Peter McRae (269,000 units).
Barksdale Resources Corp. (BRO) is set to close the final tranche of its financing, a move expected to follow the September 2026 financing announcement and the October 8, 2026 closing of the first tranche. The capital raise aligns with management’s stated plan to fund a phased 16,000-metre drill program and ZTEM survey.
The transaction provides necessary working capital and exploration runway, mitigating near-term liquidity pressure without introducing new strategic shifts, unexpected dilution, or material deviations from prior guidance. The financing confirms the execution of a previously announced capital raise without surprising the market, though it does not alter the fundamental exploration-stage risk profile.
Barksdale Resources Corp. (BRO) is a pre-revenue junior explorer focused on critical metals in Arizona and Sonora, Mexico. The company’s flagship asset is the Sunnyside Project, a copper-molybdenum porphyry system located in the Patagonia mining district that wraps South32's Hermosa project. Barksdale owns 67.5% of Sunnyside via a joint venture with Great Basin Metals. Spring 2026 reverse circulation drilling confirmed broad Cu-Mo mineralization over 1 km of strike and 1 km of vertical extent, though no NI 43-101 resource has been defined yet.
The company also owns the San Javier Project in Sonora, an IOCG deposit where a completed 2024 preliminary economic assessment highlighted a $116.8M initial capital cost, an 18.1% IRR, and a 419M lbs copper measured and indicated resource. Barksdale is now adding gold to the economic model for San Javier. Other assets include the Canelo, Goat Canyon, San Antonio, Four Metals, and Guajolote properties in Arizona. The company is in the exploration stage and has no production or revenue to date.
