Atico Continues to Extend the Ore Body at El Roble Mine in Colombia and Reports Multiple Higher-Grade Intercepts up to 18.6m of 7.65% Cu, 2.22 g/t Au, 9.0m of 8.44% Cu, 3.58 g/t Au and 5.7m of 8.48% Cu, 7.41 g/t Au

Atico Mining Corporation (ATY) announced positive drill results from 32 underground holes completed in 2026 at its El Roble mine in Colombia, successfully expanding the tonnage and extending the boundaries of historical massive sulfide zones. The company reported high-grade copper and gold intercepts, including a highlight of 18.6m at 7.65% Cu and 2.22 g/t Au, confirming that the deposit remains open at depth and along strike.
The 2026 drilling program comprised 32 drill holes totaling 1,689.3 meters of underground drilling at the El Roble mine. Ore grade intercepts are reported over widths of 0.25 to 18.6 meters, with Table 1 results utilizing a 1% copper cutoff. The estimated true thickness of reported intervals is between 90% and 95% of the drill intercept.
Highlighted intercepts from the program include 18.6m at 7.65% Cu and 2.22 g/t Au, 9.0m at 8.44% Cu and 3.58 g/t Au, and 5.7m at 8.48% Cu and 7.41 g/t Au. Specific results from Table 1 highlights include:
- ATDM-112: 6.25m at 7.65% Cu, 1.72 g/t Au (From 90.85m to 97.1m)

Sample preparation was conducted at the ALS sample preparation facility in Medellin, Colombia, with analysis performed at ALS Lima, Peru, for Cu, Ag, Zn, and Pb via 4-acid dissolution/ICP-AES (Code OG62), and at ALS Vancouver, Canada, for Au via fire assay 50g with gravimetric finish (Code GRA22). Quality assurance and control measures included blanks, certified reference standards, and duplicate samples inserted into each batch. Core size varied, with 12 holes being HQ diameter (core split in half) and 20 holes being NQ diameter (entire core submitted).
Current reserves, effective March 12, 2024, include 828 thousand tonnes at 2.49% Cu and 2.20 g/t Au, with a life of mine until Q1-2027. Drilling is scheduled to continue through 2026 and 2027 with the goal of further extending mineralization, increasing mine life, and issuing an updated reserves and resources statement by early next year.
“Our ongoing drilling campaign at El Roble mine continues to deliver important results, intercepting new mineralization and successfully extending the boundaries of the historical massive sulfide zones,” said Fernando E. Ganoza, CEO. “These assay results reinforce our confidence that higher-grade copper and gold mineralization continues to extend beyond the historical zones. The deposit remains open at depth and along strike, confirming further potential both within and outside the previously defined mineralized shell.”
