Azimut's New Exploration Results Support Large-Scale Gold Vein Field at Wabamisk

Azimut expands its district-scale gold corridor at Wabamisk with a new vein field and drilling plans.

Executive Summary

Azimut Exploration Inc. (AZM) announced the discovery of a multi-kilometre gold-bearing vein field at its Wabamisk Property, highlighting the Rosa-Dome Sector and a new showing named "Ginger" located 15km from the Rosa Zone. The company identified a 3km x 5km gold-bearing vein field with a cumulative strike length of at least 5.4 kilometres across multiple zones, including Rosa, Rosa West, K, PP-51 East/West, Dome A, Dome C, Dome NE, and Fischer.

Surface exploration in 2026 included 5,517 soil samples, 1,355 rock samples, 102 till samples, and 144 line-kilometres of IP surveys, resulting in significant new gold showings discovered since June 2026. A minimum 7,000-metre diamond drilling program is planned for later in 2026 to test the Rosa Zone, Dome Sector, and new targets. Historical drilling data confirms high-grade intercepts, including 46.41 g/t Au over 3.5m and 93.9 g/t Au over 0.35m in the Rosa Zone.

The Wabamisk Property comprises 784 claims (415.2 km²), with contiguous Wabamisk East holding 205 claims (108.5 km²).

Material Impact

Azimut Exploration Inc. (AZM) announced the geological continuity and scale of the Wabamisk gold corridor, reinforcing the company's strategic pivot toward high-potential gold assets following the divestiture of lithium properties Galinee and Pikwa. This development follows the extensive 2025-2026 exploration campaigns that established the Rosa and Fortin zones. The market had previously priced in the Wabamisk potential, as evidenced by the stock’s run to $1.06 in January 2026.

The company plans a 7,000m drill program, which aligns with its stated 2026 target of at least 20,000m of drilling. No new financial milestones, resource estimates, or major partnership changes were disclosed. Azimut’s stock has declined 55% from its January peak to the current $0.48 level. This exploration update validates the geological thesis but does not provide immediate catalysts for valuation changes without assay results, a resource estimate, or strategic financing.
