Kodiak Commences Additional Metallurgical Testing Focused on Flowsheet Development & Optimization

Kodiak advances MPD flowsheet testwork and nears closing of the Kay Copper spinout.

Executive Summary

Kodiak Copper Corp. has initiated an additional metallurgical testwork program for its 100% owned MPD copper-gold project in southern British Columbia. The initiative focuses on flowsheet development and optimization, utilizing composite samples drawn from all seven deposits included in the current Mineral Resource Estimate.

The work is managed by Fuse Advisors Inc., a part of SLR, and will be conducted at Blue Coast Research Ltd. Results are expected in Q1 2027, with the primary goal of optimizing metal recoveries, particularly gold, and de-risking the project for future economic studies. CEO Claudia Tornquist noted that prior metallurgical results have been encouraging, stating that this phase aims to expand on those findings to unlock shareholder value.

Material Impact

Kodiak Copper Corp. (KDK) announced a routine follow-up to the positive metallurgical results released in May 2026, which demonstrated improved copper and gold recoveries at coarser grind sizes. The announcement aligns with the company's previously communicated 2026 work plan and does not introduce unexpected or market-moving information. The focus on gold recovery optimization is consistent with prior technical statements and directly supports the planned Q1 2027 Mineral Resource Estimate update.
