Trifecta Gold Secures 100% Interest in Tombstone Gold Belt Projects, Yukon
Trifecta secured 100% of the Tombstone Belt assets ahead of schedule, targeting upcoming Rye assay results to drive future exploration.

Trifecta Gold Ltd. has finalized the acquisition of a 100% interest in 11 gold and silver projects located in the Yukon's Tombstone Gold Belt from Strategic Metals Ltd. The transaction was completed through the issuance of 6,265,000 common shares, which represents 9.99% of the post-issuance share count. As a result, Strategic Metals now holds an 8,296,579 share position, equating to 13.2% of outstanding shares, and retains a 2% Net Smelter Return (NSR) royalty on the properties.
Trifecta exercised the "Second Option" to acquire the remaining 30% interest, thereby completing the earn-in a full year ahead of schedule. The acquired portfolio spans approximately 30,000 hectares and includes the Rye, Mt. Hinton, Lance, Liam, and Lois projects, along with six other earlier-stage targets. Surface sampling at the Rye project returned up to 19.25 g/t gold, with final assay results from a six-hole 2026 drill program expected shortly. Management plans to present at the TAKESTOCK Investor Series on November 4, 2026, and the Yukon Geoscience Forum from November 16-19, 2026.
Trifecta Gold Ltd. (TG) has completed its earn-in process, securing 100% ownership of its assets ahead of schedule. This milestone follows a methodical execution history that began with maiden 2025 drilling at Rye, which validated a Reduced Intrusion-Related Gold System (RIRGS) model featuring broad gold intercepts and high-grade silver zones. Permitting was secured in July 2026, followed by a $1.66M private placement to fund operations. Drill completion and surface sampling in September 2026 confirmed continued geological promise.
The October 13 announcement marks the conclusion of the earn-in process. The transaction results in approximately 10% share dilution, a figure standard for such deals and consistent with prior financing terms. Financially, the company remains in the speculative exploration stage, having reported zero revenue and a Q2 2026 net loss of $33,137. While the deal adds a 2% NSR royalty burden, it removes future earn-in cash obligations, slightly improving capital efficiency.
The stock has traded in a downtrend from $0.42 to $0.15. Analysts note that this milestone alone is insufficient to reverse market sentiment without a major drill result or capital injection.
Trifecta Gold Ltd. is a Canadian-based precious metals exploration company focused on the highly prospective Tombstone Gold Belt in east-central Yukon. Its flagship asset is the Rye Project, located 14 km from the North Canol Road, which targets Reduced Intrusion-Related Gold Systems (RIRGS). The 2025 drilling program intersected 1.02 g/t Au over 37 m and a high-grade silver zone of 1,465 g/t Ag over 1.97 m. The 2026 program targeted the same hydrothermal system margins, with assays pending.
The company’s portfolio includes Mt. Hinton, situated near Hecla's Keno Hill Mine, where historic bonanza surface samples returned greater than 100 g/t Au. Other assets include Lance, a multi-square km gold-bismuth-arsenic anomaly, and Liam/Lois, which feature skarn and porphyry-style targets with elevated gold-copper-silver soil anomalies. The company operates on a low-cash burn earn-in model with a tight share structure and high insider ownership, leveraging a proven exploration team with a track record in Yukon's major deposits.
