Koryx Copper Provides Interim Update on Pre-Feasibility Study Progress for the Haib Copper Project in Southern Namibia

Koryx simplifies the Haib flowsheet by dropping heap leaching, keeping the prefeasibility study on track for a November release.

Executive Summary

Koryx Copper S.A. (KRY) has released an interim update on the Pre-Feasibility Study (PFS) for its Haib Copper Project in Namibia, highlighting significant developments in metallurgical testwork and process design. Metallurgical testing is nearing completion, with interim results demonstrating excellent continuity with prior work.

Key changes to the proposed process flow include the elimination of the heap leach component for the base case, replaced by a pure milling and flotation circuit. The design now integrates Coarse Particle Flotation (CPF) to reject approximately 12 Mtpa of coarse gangue, thereby reducing the feed to the main flotation circuit to 36 Mtpa. Additionally, the use of Jameson cells is intended to improve concentrate grade and recovery while reducing power and space requirements. Crushing throughput has been debottlenecked to handle 48 Mtpa of ROM material.

On the infrastructure front, Koryx has signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) with NamPower for a grid connection involving a 68km 220kV line, alongside solar PV and battery energy storage systems (BESS). The company has also signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with NamWater for a supply scheme from the Orange River.

Environmental permitting remains on schedule, with the Environmental and Social Impact Assessment (ESIA) and Environmental Management Plan (EMP) submitted in August and September 2026, respectively. A regulatory decision is expected before the end of 2027. The final PFS publication remains on track for release before the end of November 2026.

Material Impact

Koryx Copper S.A. released an update that aligns with its previously stated timeline for the Preliminary Feasibility Study (PFS). The company has shifted from a heap leach and milling hybrid approach to a pure milling and flotation circuit. This change simplifies the flowsheet and reduces capital complexity, representing a positive operational development that follows prior process optimization announcements.

The update did not disclose any new material financial metrics, resource changes, or strategic partnerships. The news reinforces management's execution capability but does not alter the fundamental investment thesis or timeline.
