Final Payment Received Regarding Option On Kechika North Project
Zincx secures final $1.9m for the Kechika North option, bolstering cash reserves for the project.

ZincX Resources Corp. has received the final $1,900,000 cash payment from an arm's-length third party, completing the $3,000,000 total consideration for the exercise of an option to acquire 100% ownership of the Kechika North Project. The transaction transfers 103 contiguous mineral claims, representing the northern extension of ZincX's landholdings in the Kechika region.
The release follows the July 16, 2026 amendment where the initial $1,000,000 was received and the remaining $1,900,000 was deferred until the formal designation of the Kaska conservation area by the Province of British Columbia. The company reiterates its strategic focus on the flagship Akie Project (Cardiac Creek deposit) and the Mount Alcock property, while highlighting zinc's designation as a critical mineral in Canada and the US.
Zincx Resources Corp. (ZNX) received the final $1.9M payment, a direct follow-up to its July 2026 announcement. The market was already aware of the deferred payment structure and the conservation area trigger associated with the deal.
The cash inflow improves liquidity but does not change the fundamental development timeline of the flagship Akie project. The transaction is expected and incremental, providing a modest cash boost without altering the company's exploration pause or going concern status.
Zincx Resources Corp. (ZNX) is a junior explorer focused on the Akie zinc-lead-silver project in northeast British Columbia. The company’s flagship asset, the Akie Project, hosts the Cardiac Creek deposit, which features large-tonnage, high-grade SEDEX mineralization within the Gunsteel Formation.
A 2018 resource estimate for the deposit identified 22.7 million tonnes of indicated resources grading 8.32% zinc, 1.61% lead, and 14.1 g/t silver. Inferred resources totaled 7.5 million tonnes at 7.04% zinc, 1.24% lead, and 12.0 g/t silver. A preliminary economic assessment from the same year projected a pre-tax NPV7% of $649 million CAD and an after-tax NPV7% of $401 million CAD. The assessment outlined a pre-tax internal rate of return of 35% over an 18-year mine life at a production rate of 4,000 tonnes per day.
Beyond Akie, the company is pursuing the Kechika Regional Project, a district-scale exploration play covering 140 km of strike length. This portfolio includes 100% owned Mount Alcock and a 49% interest in the Pie, Yuen, and Cirque East properties, with the remaining 51% held by a joint venture between Teck Resources and Korea Zinc. Regarding regulatory status, the surface drilling permit for Akie has been renewed through December 31, 2028, and mineral tenure has been extended to January 2035.
