Metalero Provides Updates to the Benson Copper-Gold Property Option
Metalero’s Benson option update reveals slow progress and critically depleted cash reserves.

Metalero Mining Corp. provided a status update on its January 17, 2025 Letter of Intent (LOI) to acquire a 100% undivided interest in the 166 km² Benson Copper-Gold Property in central British Columbia. The company has paid $40,000 of the $100,000 total cash consideration to date, with the remaining $60,000 contractually due on or before January 17, 2027.
The issuance of 2,000,000 common shares, deemed price subject to a $0.05 floor, remains pending TSX Venture Exchange approval. A four-month hold period applies to the consideration shares upon issuance. Exploration spend on the property totals $279,698.23 as of the release date. The transaction remains governed by the LOI with no definitive agreement executed.
Metalero Mining Corp. (MLO) has reached a routine administrative and financial milestone on a previously announced option, confirming adherence to its payment schedule. The company has paid 40% of the required amount after nine months, though it has delayed paying the remaining $60,000 and issuing the 2,000,000 shares. This delay highlights the company's constrained liquidity but does not alter the fundamental exploration thesis.
The update aligns with prior expectations for a grassroots explorer managing TSXV compliance and cash flow. It does not introduce new geological data, drilling results, or strategic partnerships. Given the company's critically low cash position, the update reinforces the near-term necessity for capital rather than serving as a positive catalyst.
Metalero Mining Corp. (MLO) holds its flagship Benson Project in the Quesnel Trough of central British Columbia. The land package spans 173 km² and is prospective for copper-gold porphyry systems. The company has identified five high-priority exploration targets via Geoscience BC AI modeling under the QUEST program: Cantin, Sundberg, Chiaz, Bollos, and Pinnacle.
In addition to its Canadian assets, Metalero holds secondary projects in western Bolivia, including San Cristobal East (SCE) and San Cristobal South (SCS). These properties cover 230 km² and are strategically positioned along the Uyuni Fault System, adjacent to the major San Cristobal silver-lead-zinc mine and the Isidorito prospect.
The company is currently in the grassroots exploration stage. No mineral resources or reserves have been reported. Management is focused on soil sampling, geophysics, and preparing for maiden drilling.
