Pacific Bay Weaver Lake Rock Sample Returns 0.78 Ounces per Ton Gold
Pacific Bay’s early-stage rock sampling confirms epithermal potential at Weaver Lake, advancing Phase 2 exploration.

Pacific Bay Minerals Ltd. has released initial exploration results from its Weaver Lake Gold Property in southwestern British Columbia. The property is subject to a three-year option agreement with Aurwest Resources Corp., which holds the right to earn a 50% interest.
Phase 1 activities comprised rock, soil, and stream-sediment sampling. The highest-grade rock sample, designated 82133, returned 26.7 ppm Au (0.78 opt) and 1,350 ppm Ag (39.4 opt), alongside significant lead and zinc values. Soil sampling identified consistent multi-element anomalies, although absolute gold values are lower than some historic 1990s trench results. The company plans to proceed to Phase 2 exploration, which will include geophysical surveys and the integration of new data with historic drilling and underground workings.
Pacific Bay Minerals Ltd. (PBM) released results that represent a logical, expected progression of the Phase 1 exploration program announced on July 29, 2026. While rock sample grades support an intermediate-sulfidation epithermal system, soil gold values of 0.36 ppm are modest and do not materially upgrade the project's economic potential.
The announcement validates the initial geological model and justifies the planned move to geophysics, but it introduces no new financing, drilling commitments, or resource estimates. Given the incremental nature of the data and the lack of immediate capital deployment, the market impact is expected to be limited.
Pacific Bay Minerals Ltd. (PBM) is a junior exploration company focused on critical and precious metals in British Columbia and Brazil. Its flagship asset is the 100%-owned Haskins-Reed Critical Minerals Project, which hosts tungsten, bismuth, copper, zinc, and silver. Historic drilling at the site has revealed high-grade silver and base metals, along with tungsten skarns.
The company also holds the Weaver Gold Property, which has been optioned to Aurwest and features high-grade gold-silver historic intercepts. Additional holdings include the Dodson Creek Property in the Yukon/NWT region and former assets in Brazil. Pacific Bay Minerals Ltd. is currently in the exploration stage and has no production, resources, or reserves.
