Finlay identifies 2.4 km long IP Anomaly at the IFT Target on its SAY Property
Finlay’s IP anomaly confirms a porphyry model at the Say project, advancing copper-silver exploration efforts.

Finlay Minerals Ltd. (FYL) has identified a 2.4 km long Induced Polarization (IP) chargeability anomaly at the IFT Target on its SAY Property in British Columbia. This discovery coincides with a 2.5 km by 2.5 km magnetic anomaly and a large geochemical anomaly encompassing copper, silver, arsenic, bismuth, molybdenum, and tellurium, alongside quartz, sericite, and pyrite alteration. Management states that these combined signatures are typical for copper porphyry deposits.
Additionally, the company conducted its inaugural field program on the JJB Property, focusing on the Squingula and Quin targets. Geochemical results will be released as laboratory assays become available.
Finlay Minerals Ltd. (FYL) announced expected exploration progress on its SAY property, building directly on the January 2026 release of high-grade rock samples containing up to 15.3% Cu and 532 g/t Ag at the IFT target. An induced polarization (IP) survey confirmed a subsurface geophysical signature consistent with surface geochemical and alteration data, validating the porphyry copper-silver model.
As this announcement serves as a follow-up to previously disclosed surface sampling and planned geophysics, the results were likely anticipated by the market. The update does not change the project’s early-stage exploration status, provide new drilling results, or alter the company’s capital requirements or funding structure.
Finlay Minerals Ltd. (FYL) is a mineral exploration company focused on copper, gold, and silver properties in northern British Columbia. Its principal assets include the PIL and ATTY properties in the Toodoggone District, which host copper-gold porphyry systems, and the SAY and JJB properties in the Driftwood Corridor, which feature copper-silver mineralization.
The PIL and ATTY properties are subject to earn-in agreements with Freeport-McMoRan, allowing the partner to earn up to an 80% interest by funding $35 million in exploration and $4.1 million in cash over six years. The SAY property is 100% owned by Finlay and has demonstrated high-grade surface copper and silver mineralization, with ongoing geophysical and geochemical surveys currently underway to define drill targets.
