White Gold Corp. Announces Filing of Preliminary Economic Assessment with C$1.86 Billion After-Tax NPV, 41% IRR and 1.5 Year Payback Period on the White Gold Project, Yukon, Canada
White’s preliminary economic assessment for its Yukon gold project confirms a c$1.86 billion net present value and a 41 per cent internal rate of return.

White Gold Corp. has filed its independent NI 43-101 Preliminary Economic Assessment (PEA) for the White Gold Project in the Yukon, Canada. The filing serves as the formal regulatory submission of the maiden PEA, which was previously announced and updated in August 2026.
The assessment outlines a 9.4-year open-pit operation with an average production of 188,000 ounces of gold per year, including 223,000 ounces per year for the first five years. Base case economics at US$3,600/oz gold yield an after-tax NPV(5%) of C$1,856 million, an after-tax IRR of 41%, and a 1.5-year payback period. Life-of-mine cash costs are projected at US$1,290/oz, with an all-in sustaining cost (AISC) of US$1,482/oz. Initial capital requirements are estimated at C$1,002 million.
The mine plan incorporates approximately 60% of the current mineral resource, leaving roughly 40% of ounces, including the QV deposit, outside the plan as growth potential.
White Gold Corp. (WGO) filed a document reflecting economic parameters identical to its August 28, 2026 update, including a C$1.86 billion net present value (NPV), a 41% internal rate of return (IRR), and a 1.5-year payback period. The market was already aware of these metrics following shareholder approval and court steps for the W2 spin-out.
The filing represents a routine compliance milestone rather than a new catalyst, with no changes to the underlying mineral resource, mine plan, or commodity price assumptions noted. Given the prior pricing of the preliminary economic assessment (PEA) results and the progress of the spin-out, the immediate market impact is expected to be neutral to mildly positive.
White Gold Corp. controls a district-scale land package of over 300,000 hectares in the Yukon's White Gold District. The company's flagship project hosts four near-surface, open-pittable deposits: Golden Saddle, Arc, Ryan's Surprise, and VG.
The mineral resource includes 1,732,300 oz Indicated (35.2 Mt @ 1.53 g/t Au) and 1,265,900 oz Inferred (32.3 Mt @ 1.22 g/t Au). Processing utilizes conventional Carbon-in-Leach (CIL) with 87% average recovery. Infrastructure access is provided via the planned Northern Access Route (NAR) from Dawson City, as well as summer barge and winter ice road access.
