Sego Resources Locates Multiple Deep IP Targets Identified Beneath Both the Cuba Copper Gold Zone and the South Gold Zone
Sego’s deep IP targets confirm porphyry potential, with a fully funded October drill campaign awaiting assay results.

Sego Resources Inc. (SGZ) has completed a five-line 3D IP Volterra diamond array at its Miner Mountain project. The survey identified deep IP chargeability anomalies beneath the Cuba and South Gold Zones, extending from 400m to 500m below surface. These anomalies increase in size and strength with depth, forming a ~200m x 500m east-west target at 500m depth. Historical drilling (DDH 71) intersected phyllic and potassic alteration near these deep anomalies.
The company plans a fully financed fall-winter drilling campaign starting mid-October 2026 to test these targets, specifically aiming for the Cuba Zone at ~450m depth to confirm porphyry copper mineralization. The South Gold Zone shows a semi-circle chargeability anomaly at ~300m depth, with recent Fall 2025 drilling noting chalcopyrite in fractures/clots. Data modeling is complete, and a 2013 magnetic survey will be integrated before drilling commences. Maps and targets will be published on the company website in October 2026.
Sego Resources Inc. (SGZ) released an update that serves as a logical follow-up to its July 2026 announcement regarding the completion of the initial prospecting (IP) survey. The findings confirm the company’s exploration thesis of a deep porphyry copper system and validate its fully funded status for the upcoming drill program.
The results are consistent with prior drilling outcomes, such as the alteration intercepts from DDH 71, and do not introduce fundamentally new geological surprises or unexpected financial terms. While the update marks positive progress toward a maiden resource estimate, it lacks the immediate market-moving catalyst of a high-grade intercept or a major strategic partnership.
Sego Resources Inc. (SGZ) is an exploration-stage junior focused on the Miner Mountain project, a 2,056-hectare alkalic copper-gold porphyry property located 15 km north of Hudbay's Copper Mountain mine in British Columbia. The project hosts two primary targets: the South Gold Zone, characterized by near-surface disseminated gold, and the Cuba Zone, a deeper porphyry copper-gold system.
Historical drilling has returned wide, low-grade copper intercepts, such as 100m @ 0.95% Cu, and gold intervals, such as 100m @ 0.626 g/t Au. The company is advancing toward a maiden NI 43-101 inferred resource estimate for the South Gold Zone and testing deeper porphyry targets at Cuba.
