Gold Strike Completes 2026 Drill Program at the Florin Gold Project, Yukon
Gold Strike completes its Florin drill program, with pending assays set to test potential resource extensions at the deposit.

Gold Strike Resources Corp. has completed its 2026 drill program at the Florin Gold Project in the Yukon. The initiative comprised 11 diamond drill holes totaling 4,014 meters, targeting extensions of the current inferred resource footprint to the south, southwest, and west, as well as step-out exploration at the Denari and Treadwell/Saddle targets. All holes intersected potential mineralization hosts, including hornfels or quartz monzonite, with visible gold-bearing structures.
Assay results are currently pending, with sampling expected to be completed by mid-October 2026. The company anticipates receiving the first results shortly thereafter. Gold Strike Resources Corp. holds a new five-year, 60,000-metre drill permit under Class 3 Quartz Mining Land Use Approval LQ00621. The Florin project hosts a pit-constrained inferred mineral resource of 2.507 million ounces of gold, derived from 162.7 million tonnes grading 0.48 g/t Au at a 0.30 g/t Au cut-off.
Gold Strike Resources Corp. (GSR) has completed its 2026 drill program, a milestone that aligns with the company’s previously announced, fully funded 8,000-metre exploration plan. The execution of the program matched prior guidance, with no new surprises or unexpected developments reported.
The completion itself is considered incremental, with the market impact currently viewed as neutral to slightly positive. The fundamental thesis remains unchanged, and the primary catalyst will be the pending assay results, which will determine if the resource can be expanded or if step-out targets show promise.
Gold Strike Resources Corp. (GSR) is an exploration-stage gold company focused on the Yukon Territory and British Columbia. The company controls a land package of approximately 400 km², which includes the Florin, FLR, RJ, Gold Strike One (GS1), and Gold Strike Two (GS2) projects.
The flagship Florin Gold Project, located in the Tombstone Gold Belt, hosts a 2.507 moz inferred resource. GS1 and GS2 are strategically positioned adjacent to Snowline Gold's Valley deposit, targeting Reduced Intrusion-Related Gold Systems (RIRGS). The company is in the advanced exploration phase, with infrastructure including road access and an airstrip, as well as permitting, in place to support near-term drilling and potential resource definition.
