SSR Mining Acquires 15% Interest in Dobbin Project and Enters into Joint Venture Arrangement with Phenom's Subsidiary, Copper One USA, Inc.
Phenom’s Dobbin deposit assays provide the next catalyst following SSR JV funding for the Phenom project.

SSR Mining has exercised its contractual right to acquire a 15% interest in the Dobbin Project for US$4,000,000. To facilitate the transaction, a Nevada LLC, designated as the JV Company, has been incorporated to hold the Dobbin claims. Under this structure, Copper One USA, Inc., a subsidiary of Phenom Resources Corp., retains an 85% stake while SSR holds the remaining 15%.
The deal provides approximately $11 million in total funding when combined with SSR's prior $5.4 million CAD equity investment in Phenom Resources Corp. These funds are designated to support exploration activities through the remainder of the 2026 drilling season and into early summer 2027.
The governance structure grants Phenom Resources Corp. operational control as the initial manager. Standard dilution provisions apply to the agreement; if a party's interest drops below 10%, they lose JV membership but may receive up to a 2% NSR royalty. First assay results from ongoing diamond drilling at Dobbin were previously expected in September 2026.
Phenom Resources Corp. (PHNM) has executed a framework agreement announced in June 2026, finalizing a strategic partnership and joint venture with SSR Mining under previously disclosed $4 million terms. The market was already aware of these details, and the closing of the joint venture serves as an operational milestone that de-risks near-term funding and validates SSR Mining’s continued commitment to the asset.
The information is incremental and expected, introducing no new geological upside, changing no project timeline, and altering the fundamental risk profile beyond what was already priced into the stock following the June financing. Since the June spike, the stock has consolidated in the $0.35–$0.43 range, indicating the market has absorbed the financing news. The release represents routine execution rather than a market-moving surprise.
Phenom Resources Corp. (PHNM) is a pre-revenue junior explorer focused on gold and critical metals in Nevada, USA. The company’s flagship asset is the Dobbin Gold Project, located in central Nevada on the southern extension of the Independent-Eureka gold trend. The project features a 2.1 km long by 200 m wide gold-in-soil anomaly with values up to 2.73 g/t Au. The geology is described as Carlin-type, targeting lower-plate Paleozoic carbonate units.
Additional assets include Crescent Valley, an IOCG REE/critical metals deposit and epithermal gold target; King Solomon, a historical Carlin-type gold-silver-antimony property; and South Carlin, which hosts a vanadium resource. The company is in the exploration phase, relying on equity financing and strategic partnerships to advance drilling and permitting.
