Midland and SOQUEM Discover New Copper, Gold and Silver Boulders and Showings on Nachicapau

Midland’s Nachicapau grab samples extend high-grade copper-gold-silver targets, validating 2025 induced polarization anomalies at the project.

Executive Summary

Midland Exploration Inc. and partner SOQUEM announced results from a June 2026 rock sampling campaign on the Nachicapau project. The company collected 54 samples over five days to follow up on 2025 induced polarization (IP) anomalies.

The top grab sample, C2130702, returned 26.8% Cu, 0.24 g/t Au, and 238 g/t Ag from a monzonite dyke boulder. Additional high-grade samples include 14.8% Cu, 0.65 g/t Au, 112 g/t Ag and 7.68% Cu, 0.87 g/t Au, 57.2 g/t Ag.

Results confirm the northward extension of mineralized zones and validate the geophysical targets identified in the 2025 OreVision® survey. The campaign operates under a $1 million joint annual exploration budget (50/50 split with SOQUEM) covering Malaco Mountain and Nachicapau.

Material Impact

Midland Exploration Inc. (MD) released results that represent a standard, expected progression of its 2025 exploration program. The findings validate the company's geological model and geophysical targets, though they do not constitute a drill result or resource estimate.

Grab samples are inherently selective and often overrepresent high-grade mineralization compared to bulk tonnage. Without drill core verification, these values cannot be used to model continuity or economic potential.

The news aligns with previous expectations and management's stated 2026 exploration roadmap. It provides incremental confidence but lacks the scale or drilling confirmation required to materially alter the investment thesis or valuation.

Company Overview

Midland Exploration Inc. (MD) operates a prospect generator model focused on gold, copper, and critical metals across Quebec and Labrador. Its flagship assets include the Nachicapau and Malaco Mountain projects, which target copper, gold, and rare earth elements in the Labrador Trough, as well as the Jouvex and Lewis projects, which focus on gold in the Abitibi belt. The company leverages a partnership-heavy strategy, sharing exploration costs and upside with major producers and explorers such as Barrick, Rio Tinto, Wallbridge, and SOQUEM. This model relies on continuous target generation, geophysical surveys, and drilling to attract joint venture partners or earn-in agreements.
